The Ford "Fordor" Sedan is arguably one of the most famous cars of the Depression Era, thanks to a one of the most infamous persons of the same period - John Dillinger. Few cars on the road in 1934 could claim 8 cylinders under it's hood, and even fewer were manufactured in as much quantity as the '34 Ford V8. Since Fords were the most commonly seen cars,  criminals could easily evade police in large towns and cities. They were also faster then nearly every police car at the time. Cunning crooks like Dillinger, Bonnie and Clyde used these otherwise modest Fords to pull of some of the most daring escapes and biggest heists in U.S. history. These days they are coveted as prized collectors cars that command top dollar.

The 1934 Ford V8 featured a new front grille that was tapered and slanted, which was a full departure from the flat-looking grilles reminiscent of the Model T that was present on the Model A's and Model 18's. The Fenders and bodies were sleeker then the previous model year and the maturing Flathead V8 engine was more powerful. Just over 100,000 were produced but very few with unmolested bodies and correct Flathead V8's exist today.

This sharp-looking 4-Door Sedan arrives in our showroom with mirror-finish black paint accented with red pin-striping and red wire-spoke wheels. The authentic Thorn Brown Mohair is in excellent condition with robust fabric and tight stitch-work. Engine and undersides are clean. To complete this impressive appearance the chrome is exceptional from bumpers to the unmistakable Ford greyhound hood ornament.
