    Options and Accessories:

    • 1939 Buick Special Model 41, 4 dr Touring Sedan. Suicide rear doors, streamboard option, 6 volt electrical system, rear turn signals, master deluxe heater, sliding opera windows, back seat foot rest, front and back arm rest, front and back ash trays. Complete body off frame restoration completed 8/15/08. Photo album showing each step of restoration. During restoration the following was done: cylinders bore 30 over, crank shaft turned down 10, engine block boiled out and painted, engine rebuilt with new pistons, rings, bearings, seals/gaskets, new fan belt, hoses, plugs, points, rotor button, and distributor cap. Cam shaft, lifters, and push rods polished. Head and valves inspected, radiator rodded out. The following were all rebuilt: distributor, water pump, fuel pump, starter, generator, carburetor, master and all wheel cylinders. Body disassembled and removed from frame. All parts taken down to bare metal and repainted using rust inhibitive black paint on chassis and bottom of body. Exterior of body painted withe two coats single statge acrylic enamel. During reassembly the follow new parts were used: five WWW B.F. Goodrich Silvertown bias ply 6.50/16 tires and tubes, hub caps, door sill plates, brake shoes, body mount rubber, sway bar and lower control arm bushings, motor mounts (4), A-arm bumpers, rubber and steel brake lines, fuel lines, original style cloth covered wiring harness, battery, windshield and back glass gaskets, door and trunk lid weather stripping, bumpers for doors, hood, and gas cap door, gas cap door springs, accelerator pedal, clutch and brake pedal pads, rear fender welting. Gas tank cleaned and repainted. Transmissio and differential cleaned, inspected, reassembled, and relubed. Dash and window garnish moldings redone using the correct wood grain patterns. Interior redone using beige mohair on seats and door panels, beige nap cotton on headliner, brown low pile carpet on floor and trunk. All chrome replated and stainless trim polished. The car starts and runs like new. All it needs is more road to run on or a showroom to sit in. Selling for client. Located in Florida.
