TV & Hollywood Cars

TV & Movie Car Collection

You never know what’s around the corner at the Volo Auto Museum.  In addition to a vast collection of youngster-friendly cars in the Kids’ Hollywood Museum, other widely recognized vehicles make Volo their home.

Vehicles that graced the silver screen now found at the Volo museum include  “Christine,” the 1958 Plymouth Fury; star of the 1983 film based on the Stephen King thriller  and  the 1968 Mustang Fastback from “Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift.” Fans of “Gone in 60 Seconds,” the 2000 action-packed adventure staring Nicholas Cage will no doubt remember Eleanor’s contribution to movie folklore. Trivia buffs will enjoy the 1989 Cadillac hearse driven by Arnold Schwarzenegger  in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.” This 2003 cult favorite, released in 2003, was the actor’s final movie before taking on his real life role as Governator of California.

From the small screen, the General Lee (an orange 1969 Dodge Charger) straight out of the CBS series “The Dukes of Hazzard” joins the original KITT  (a 1980s Pontiac Trans Am) from the NBC series “Knight Ridder.”   Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas created a new genre for television with NBC’s “Miami Vice.” Their Ferrari Daytona Spyder was always in hot pursuit of bad guys down in south Florida and now is found in a slightly cooler climate.

These and many other Hollywood road warriors are dotted throughout the five indoor, climate- controlled buildings of the Volo Auto Museum.
