Vin # match motor and trans, factory colors and options. Documented by Pontiac Historical Services. Restored from bottom up.

HISTORY: Belonged to the same family for 32 years. We have a signed letter by a member of that family verifying the motor, trans and rear are original to the car. It had never been in an accident. It was always garage kept and put in storage from 1981-2001. Then it was taken apart, sandblasted and completely restored. We have a binder of docs from when it was new until recent.

EXTERIOR: The paint job is really outstanding. It is polished like a mirror everywhere, even the rubber bumper. The bottom of the car reflects the ground like a mirror. Upfront is in excellent shape. Most rubber bumpers have stress cracks or are touched up right at the nose, not this one. I don't see a crack or a nick. It has the hideaway lights which I think is a must if I were to buy a 68 or 69 GTO. The trim and grills and really nice. Headlights were serviced and work properly. Working my way back the windshield is new, all the stainless moldings around the windows, roof, back edge of the hood, wheel well look like new. Door handles, mirror and taillights look really nice original. Rear bumper is rechromed. Vinyl top is new. Has factory metal door edge guards in excellent shape. The door jambs are just as shiny as the outside. The factory spot welded seams, bottom edge of door are clean as a whistle. New weather strips. The rally II wheels are repainted, has the correct lug nuts. BFG tires look new.

INTERIOR: I just sat in the car for the first time, the interior lights all come on and everything sparkles. It's very tidy and clean. Door panels, carpet, headliner, upholstery all look new. Instrument panel, console are very nice. Has upgraded retro stereo with kick panel speakers and 6x9 speakers in the deck. In the glove box is an extra set of keys, original owner's manual, power trunk release and auxiliary plug for the stereo.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Really clean. Has nice coat of spatter finish paint, the proper mat and tire cover. Has spare and jack. Bottom of trunk lid and jamb is painted meticulously, has new weatherstrip seal and jacking instructions decal.

MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is considered show condition Detailed to factory specs. Has the spring clamp battery cables with a reproduction battery topper. The motor is clean with a coat of the correct turquoise paint. Correct chrome valve covers. Everything looks proper. The correct air cleaner has all it's original components in place- the heat shield and riser tube is complete, vacuum lines, breather tube etc. The brake booster is cadium plated, the fan shroud and radiator look proper. The bottom of the hood is satin black with the insulation. Alternator, steering box, washer pump, belts, were recently replaced. $3,000 was spent servicing the air conditioning system. This is definitely one I'll be displaying with the hood open.

UNDERSIDE: Very clean dry, what appears to be original metal. Not covered with under coat, just dusted with a satin black paint. The lower inner 1/4s are clean, the rockers still show factory spot welds. Very nicely detailed. New Flowmaster exhaust with correct stainless tips. In back it has new gas tank and straps, new shocks and control arm bushings. F-41 suspension includes sway bar and boxed control arms. Upfront the ball joints and bushings look replaced. Has sway bar and disc brakes. Turbo 400 trans and bottom of motor look very clean.
Has parking brake cables. Brakes were redone. I'm very impressed with the bottom of this car- clean, proper and rust free.

The previous owner bought It for $42,500 and invested about $7,500. The next owner will be getting a great deal. Not just a great price but a great car. The restoration, originality, history and options are all very impressive!
