Body off frame restored. #s match. Air, tilt, gauges.

Body off frame restored in 2011 to factory new condition. This real 442 has #s matching motor, trans and colors. Recently it was treated to some nice upgrades like air conditioning, fuel injection and a set of polished wheels (originals are included). It was a part of the famous Salmon Brothers 140 car collection.

EXTERIOR: California built car; the body is excellent. No rust or damage. It is straight as an arrow, body gaps are right. Repainted it's original Safron Yellow. It's polished smooth and glossy. The stripes are smooth to the touch. The chrome and stainless trim is excellent. Weatherstrips and seals were replaced. The vinyl top looks new. New windshield. New polished Torque Thrust wheels, they are 17x8 in front 18x10 in back and they are wearing Nitto performance sneakers. The original restored wheels and Good Year tires are included.

INTERIOR: It's in excellent shape. Door panels and upholstery is mint. The dash area is excellent. It has the rally pac gauges and tic-toc-tachometer. Upgraded with a tilt column and custom wheel. Down on the floor is excellent carpet, reproduction mats and a rare 4-speed console in excellent shape. It even has it's original shifter with 442 right on it. The headliner and visors are excellent. All the trim, headrests, seatbelts look great. It has a retro stereo in the factory hole.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The original vin number matched 400-350hp motor was completely rebuilt in 2022. It was upgraded with a Sniper fuel injection, a Holley distributor and hyperspark coil. Inside it has a Comp cam timing gear set, Edelbrock cam and lifters, new push rods etc. Stock valve covers and restored air cleaner, powder coated intake. New 150 amp alternator. It features power steering and brakes. It now features a Vintage Air heat and a/c system. New aluminum radiator with the proper shroud and clamps. Everything is in order, tidy and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted smooth and glossy. Inside is clean metal that was neatly spatter painted. Reproduction Polyglass tire on a restored rally wheel for a spare. It has complete jack assembly including the lug wrench. Reproduction mats, weatherstrip and decals.

UNDERSIDE: It was body off frame restored in 2011. The chassis is rock solid metal painted smooth semi gloss black. This has the rally suspension which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed rear control arms. The suspension and steering were rebuilt at that time. The brakes were redone too. The lines, hoses, and e-brake assembly were replaced. The fuel tank and straps and sending unit were replaced. Upgraded fuel pump for the fuel injection system. It has a great sounding Flowmaster exhaust with the 442 tips going threeough the bumper. Looking up at motor it still looks fresh. The M21 Muncie is VIN number matched to this car. New clutch. The 12 bolt rear end has a set of 3.91 posi gears which will propel this car quite well. The floors appear to be rock solid metal, still wearing their light coat of factory undercoating.

SERVICE: After our inspection we lubed the noisy speedometer cable, repaired the reverse lights and replaced 2 headlights.

CONCLUSION: This 442 has it all- quality, rarity and desirability. An investment grade car that should be enjoyed!
