#s match real SS 454! Cold a/c, clean car.

When is the last time you've seen one? Out of 142,153 Monte Carlos made only 3,823 were SS 454s! This one is a California built, rust free sweetheart. #s matching motor, trans, rear and colors. It was the same owner 21 years.

EXTERIOR: Very impressive! I believe it's all original metal and it is absolutely straight and lines up beautifully. There's no signs of rust, damage, or problem areas. Repainted it's original Autumn Gold color, the metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished very smooth and glossy. The white vinyl top looks sharp. I think the chrome and trim is original and it is straight and shiny. The jambs are very clean, weather strips look great. The glass is really clear. It rolls on rally wheels with BFG tires.

INTERIOR: Very clean unabused interior. It has factory bucket seats and console. The upholstery looks new. Door panels, headliner and carpet look great. It has the woodgrain dash with factory gauges, tachometer and rear defog. The vents, dash pad, heater control panel, glovebox all look great. It has a tilt deluxe wheel. Interior lights work. It has embroidered mats. A stereo fits in the factory hole. The seatbelts are original.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching original 454 makes 360 hp and 500 lbs of torque. The casting codes, dates and VIN stamp are all correct. All stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner, carb, choke etc. Features include factory air conditioning, it blows cold. It also features power steering and power brakes. All the components are clean and proper: alternator, fuel pump, heater control valve etc. The squirters are hooked up, the shroud is not cracked, the cowl rubber is in place. Very clean appearance.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are clean. The factory spot welds and part # are still in the jamb. Inside is real clean metal with a nice spatter finish. It has a rally wheel spare; the tire has never been used. It has original jack assembly. The mat and weather strip were replaced.

UNDERSIDE: First thing I noticed is that there's absolutely no rust. The floors, rockers, braces are pristine dry original metal. It cleaned up and dusted with some semi-gloss black paint It has the F-41 suspension which includes boxed rear control arms front and rear sway bars says disc brakes in front drum and back e-brake cables are hooked up It has a new dual exhaust system Looking up at the motor it's clean Chevy Orange It has its original VIN number matching Turbo 400 automatic with the original 1970 tag attached. Original 12 bolt posi rear code CRK which is unique to an SS 454.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and all we had to do was replace the glovebox light!

This is a sweetheart of a car. It just feels right, the door shuts nice, it rides smooth, the engine is strong, the air is cold! It's a rare one, I do this every day and it's not that often I see an SS 454 Monte Carlo.
