"Powerful But Economical, Fast But Safe, High Capacity But Low Cost"....these were the advertising bylines for Ford's sturdy commercial trucks.  The ubiquitous Ford model 50 and 51 trucks were outfitted for just about any job one could imagine.  From the fancy panel deliveries to the no-frills flatbeds, these flathead V8 haulers could be found operating in countries across the globe.  The economical model 51 was offered with a rear dual wheel axle option, nearly doubling the tire traction surface for extra heavy hauls and sure footed handling.  Ford was among the first commercial truck manufacturers to offer this heavy-duty option, which earned the dual wheel-axle model 51 the nickname "Double Duty" trucks.This Ford model 51 commercial tanker truck is freshly restored from our "Big Boys Garage", trimmed with vibrant flame red paint and vintage "Standard Oil" graphics.  The flathead V8 is a good runner, geared lower for it's intended commercial grade specification.  The interior is excellent with black vinyl upholstery and headliner.  The interior door panels are trimmed with a durable double-weave tech fabric, providing more inviting and comfortable accommodations when driving.  Four brass spigots are present in the rear and beneath the large 600 gallon 3-compartment fuel tank.  This is a wonderful centerpiece for any Petroliana or old Ford truck enthusiast.Disclaimer: This truck is not authorized as a commercial petroleum service truck and should not be purchase for such intent.  Commercial petroleum equipment is for display purpose only.  Youtube video available upon request.  Call our classic division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
