Chrysler's new styling for 1935 continued into 1936.  The Airstream was a response to the waning popularity of its dated looking airflow line.  The Airstream introduced a tastefully  understated grill in comparison to its predecessor airflow sibling.  In addition to a new body style, Chrysler included its engineering advances such as hydraulic brakes, automatic overdrive, automatic choke, and the novel "Fulton signal light finder", a polarizing light lens which enhanced the visibility of signal lights coming from blind-spots around the car.  This Airstream is a wonderful opportunity for classic enclosed sedan cruising.  The black paint is in good condition with appropriate wear, and the bright work is in good condition with a few patina speckles, not easily visible at first glance.  The interior upholstery has been re-furbished with a bluish-grey mohair that contrasts handsomely with the black exterior.  Complete video of this vehicle available.  Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
