AACA SENIOR WINNER. BEST OF THE BEST!This rare Desoto has had a total body off frame, meticulous restoration. The owner was very meticulous and gave alot of time and effort into making the car right. No expense spared. He used the original upholstery to make exact patterns and to replicate the correct materials. Many parts used were nos. His efforts were rewarded by the car earning an AACA senior award. Senior means it is the best of the best. It is an older restoration that has only 88 miles since finished. It has been owned and properly cared for in a climate controlled garage by the same owner. it has recently been serviced and drives like new. The car still looks new. It would cost $100,000 to duplicate this restoration today.The Desoto introduced in 1928, named after the Spanish explorer. The Desoto's featured a new diecast grill with the chrome chevron effect at the bottom of apron. Bullet shaped headlights revised into the fenders, a new cowl vent was incorporated for fesh air. Standard equipment included auto light ignition, hydraulic brakes, independent front suspension and larger brake drums. The coupe was especially a super neat design with a huge bustle back and trunk. Has gorgeous burled walnut dash and window trim, and wide whitewalls and rare factory skirts. When have you seen one?? Rare. Complete video of this vehicle available.
