Fast & Furious 7
We honor the life of Paul Walker in this memorial exhibit which features the actual Subaru he used during his final Fast & Furious movie.
Fast & Furious 7A total of 6 Subaru's were donated to Universal Studios for the filming of Furious 7, of that, only 1 survived. It was Paul Walkers car in whats been deemed the most outrageous stunt ever performed in any of the Fast and Furious movies. In the movie this car, was dropped out of an airplane from 12,000 feet, guided by GPS and landed on a mountain road where they pursued and took over a fully weaponized bus in order to rescue a girl. The car, shot full of bullet holes and eventually wound up crashing into the side of a cliff.
In reality, they actually did drop the cars from an airplane! They had GoPro camera's on the cars, skydivers and helicopters filming the fall. This car was rigged with squibs to simulate being hit by live rounds that came from the bus. After the filming, this car had new body panels installed and the bullet holes repaired so it could be displayed at Universal Studios, California. If you look up at the roof of the car, from underneath, you can see 4 metal patches where bullet holes used to be.
Since the car was donated by Subaru, it was a brand new car and has just over 200 original miles on it. I wonder if being dropped from 12,000 feet voids the warranty?!
