Modern Corvette technology in a classic Nomad!
Only 5,100 miles on a body off frame restoration. Modern Corvette technology in a classic Nomad. The car was already a show winning finished car from Arizona. The owner we just purchased it from spent $30,689 in 2018 on a gorgeous interior and getting it really dialed in. Right down to eliminating squeaks, clunks, leaks etc this car is turn key ready!!!EXTERIOR: It's professionally restored to show quality. The paint has a really nice tiny metal flake that's laid out smoothly and the clear coat finish makes it look deep and wet. It is polished out like a piece of purple glass. The silver roof is just as nice. The jambs are slick. It looks like every single piece of trim has been redone. All of the chrome such as bumpers, grill, hood ornament, light bezels, door handles, tailgate strips is new. Every piece stainless trim around all the windows and windshield is polished out like chrome. The windshield and gasket is new, side glass is new and tinted. Beautifully polished 16 inch Torque Thrust wheels.
INTERIOR: $16,019 spent on a new interior on 3-21-18. It is first class. I just poked my head in here and it smells like a leather store. Front and back seats upholstered to match in glove soft leather. Upfront is a set of sport buckets. Custom back seat with integrated cup holders and armrests. Full size console has cup holders, storage power port, a/c vents and a touch screen stereo. The headliner has the Bel Air ribs painted pewter color. The headliner is suede. Door panels are very tastefully upholstered. The dash is painted just as glossy as the outside. Has a beautiful custom gauge cluster. The tilt column is polished and has a leather wrapped steering wheel. The knobs, a/c controls and speakers are sharp looking. There are seatbelts front and back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is completely modernized. They upgraded it with a 1995 LT-1 Corvette fuel injected motor built by Street and Performance. The components are all upgraded too- the power steering system, electronic ignition, polished alternator and more. Upfront there is a big aluminum radiator with overflow bottle and electric fan. New chrome booster and master cylinder. New hinges. The firewall and under the hood are painted body color. Inner fenders are painted gloss black. $579 for new serpentine belt and pulleys. Air conditioning was just serviced. Electric fan and wiring was repaired. Engine oil leak was fixed. Coolant was flushed and pressure tested.
UNDERSIDE: Corvette front and rear independent suspension. That is not something you see to often. Upfront it has coil over adjustable gas shocks. In back it has air shocks and tubular control arms. It has disc brakes at all 4 wheels with custom calipers and drilled/slotted rotors. The body was off the frame during the build. Everything was replaced- body bushings, fuel and brake lines, exhaust etc. Has 4LE60-E electric overdrive auto trans from a Corvette. $4,921 just spent on new front coil overs, rear leaf spring support, air shocks and getting suspension dialed in. We have receipt for a $400 front and rear alignment. Drive shaft was just balanced, new U-joints. $749 just spent on fuel sender, level sensor, leaf spring bolts. Trans leak was repaired, gear shift selector was repaired.
This is a first class, quality build. More then just for show, it's a roomy and comfortable cruiser too. The fussy owner spent a small fortune getting this car dialed in so all you have to do is put gas in and go.
