Excellent survivor, Arizona car. $8,000 recent service!

Extra clean, original survivor. Arizona car all it's life. Has original documentation. It was sold new at Childress Buick, Phoenix AZ on July 11, 1969. It lived there until it was recently shipped to Volo in an enclosed truck. It has 73,924 original, well cared for miles.

Documentation- original proteprotect-o-plate, manuals, thank you letter from the original dealer, shop manuals and there is a folder full of receipts. The collector we bought it from spent $8,000 on recent mechanical service.

EXTERIOR: What a sleek looking luxury car. There is really nothing like it. I love the disappearing headlights. It was lucky enough to have lived in sunny, dry Phoenix. I wish all our cars were from there. The result is a bone dry body and chrome. I'm not going to say this car does not have a flaw, because there are a few scratches but I am going to say this car is in outstanding condition. It is as honest as they get. The body is pristine, arrow straight with no rust or damage. Panels fit right, doors shut like new. The windows are even aligned perfectly. It has only had one exterior repaint and that was about 20 years ago. It is polished to a nice shine. What really makes it exceptional is the glass and chrome. Glass is crystal clear, the windshield is original yet it looks new. The chrome is bright, not a pit anywhere. All the stainless moldings are straight and still have a polished look. Even the trim on top the doors are not worn. The jambs are original paint, still look new. Weatherstrips are soft. All 4 headlights are the the original T-3s. The original 15 inch Buick style mags and center caps are still bright, shiny chrome. No ugly vinyl top. It is one good looking car.

INTERIOR: The interior is original and practically brand new looking. Someone really took extraordinary care of it. The carpet has been replaced. The door panels are excellent. Original upholstery is amazingly clean, there are 2 small repairs on the lower seat. The lower cushion was replaced so it feels new too. Amazingly the dash is not cracked or faded from the Arizona sun. The entire dash area is mint-bright chrome, clear lenses, wood grain trim is excellent, no cracks. It has the original radio but under the dash out of view is a new stereo with a remote. The car hasn't been smoked in. The ashtray looks the size of a glovebox. When you pull it out you will see 2 ashtrays that are still shiny silver. A little light over each one still lights up! It's all the little details that make this interior impressive. The plastic trim is mint, seatbelts look new, chrome bezels sparkle, rear shelf is mint etc. Every interior and dash light work. It features power windows, tilt power 6 way seat and a Stratobench seat. It is 2 bucket seats attached in the middle with a fold down armrest, seats 2 or 3.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The air conditioning system was rebuilt with new compressor, POA valve, drier, hoses, blower motor and updated to R134 freon. Original carb was rebuilt and an electric choke was installed ($427). Other new parts- clutch fan, fuel pump, alternator, oil pressure switch, brake master cylinder and booster, ported vacuum switch, starter, water pump. Ignition upgraded to electronic Pertronix and flame thrower coil. The compartment is kept very clean and tidy. The big 430 motor makes 360 horsepower and 470 lbs of torque. It has a nice coat of Buick red. The proper air cleaner is complete heat riser tube, vacuum lines and decals. All the components, brackets, fan shroud, inner fenders, washer bottle etc are all clean and proper. Bottom of the hood is satin black with new insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's no surprise the trunk compartment still looks brand new too. The complete felt liner looks like it was put in yesterday. I lifted up the panel to inspect the spare tire and it has one of the original tires. The jack is super clean and mounted properly. Bottom of the trunk lid is glossy original paint, original decal and the light works. Weatherstrip is soft. There are some original parts that are neatly boxed up that will come with the car in the trunk.

UNDERSIDE: Absolutely rust free original metal underneath. My shop tech made a point to show me how clean it is. He wanted to leave it honest and original so we did not apply any spray paint or undercoat. There are still original assembly line markings. The lower rear 1/4s, inner rockers, floors are bone dry metal. It has the big Buick finned brake drums. Front end was gone through- new upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushing, sway bar link kit, lower ball joints. Turbo 400 trans was pulled and had major overhaul, it was cleaned and replaced. Rear main seal and pan gasket was replaced. Driveshaft was replaced. Rear end fluids were changed. Dual exhaust still looks fresh. Everything is proper and dry under this car.

Very handsome and unique luxury car that has muscle car performance. If you want a car that is different from the others, if you appreciate a quality survivor, if you want turnkey ready for show and go- we found your next car!
