Duesenberg IIs are preferred by the studios because of their reliability.

Warner Bros. purchased 2 Duesenberg IIs from Volo Auto Museum to be used in The Great Gatsby.  Both cars were painted yellow to appear as the same single car in the movie.  Warner Bros chose the Duesenberg II over a Duesenberg I because of its realiability and performance.
