GM crate 502 with 502 hp!

This is one tough looking Chevelle. It has an aggressive stance and meaty tires. It's got a 502 crate motor under the hood to back it up. Overall good condition, has a lot to offer at an affordable price.

EXTERIOR: The body looks good. I found no bubbles, as a matter of fact my magnet stuck all along the bottom. It was repainted about 10 years ago in the rich looking Classic Copper. The SS stripes were correctly painted. Upfront the grill, emblem, headlight bezels and turn signal bezels have been replaced, the bumper looks to be a good dry original. It does have the SS raised hood with hood pins. New mirror, door handles and stainless trim look original. In back the bumper looks original, has new SS emblem and correct cowbell exhaust tips. The 15 inch Torque Thrust wheels and BFG tires look new, good meaty size especially in back. The windows are tinted dark.

INTERIOR: Actually inside the car is very nice, just a bit more and it could be excellent. The instrument bezel, SS gauges and heater controls are new. The chrome trim around each gauge is sparkling. The gauge cluster includes tachometer and working clock. They put a retro stereo into the factory hole. The dash pad is excellent, the glove box liner is clean, the light even works and there's an owner's manual. Front door panels, upholstery, carpet, headliner where replaced. Obviously it has bucket seats and a console. The factory seat belts are in very good. Here is what could make it excellent- SS horn button not straight, console needs detailing, radio is crooked, cigarette lighter knob does not match. Some tinkering can make a difference.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Here's my favorite part of the car- a GM crate 502 cubic inch big block with 502 horsepower! It has GM Performance aluminum heads, aluminum water pump and intake. It has a big dual feed Holley carb, fat set of headers and an HEI ignition system. There is an upgraded brake system with cadmium plated booster. Also has upgraded aluminum radiator and trans cooler. The motor is dressed up with a real set of aluminum valve covers. The bottom of the hood is gloss body color.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is all solid metal. The quarter panels have been replaced with full panels. New mat and weatherstrip, does not have a jack or spare.

UNDERSIDE: Upfront it has upgraded suspension with big tubular control arms, the disc brakes and shocks look recent. Has a sway bar. Bottom of motor is still clean, fuel pump and starter are newer. Still has it's # matching Turbo 350 automatic has chrome pan. In back it has upgraded square control arms. Shocks and spring look recent. It has the original 12 bolt rear end with 3.31 posi and finned aluminum cover. Has a great custom Pypes exhaust system. 3 inch stainless system with electric dumps.

Here is the deal: Over the last couple years in particular we really have increased the quality of our cars which also means higher prices. This car is not pristine but it is still good with a lot to offer. It's turn key ready to go to shows and enjoy right now today but it's also the type of car you can tinker with minor things and bring it to the next level. It's not $50,000!
