#s match throughout, nut & bolt restoration!
Just finished a nut and bolt restoration to factory specs. #s matching on practically every mechanical part including vin on motor and trans. Has a protect-o-plate and dealer invoice.EXTERIOR: Phoenominal body and paint, better then when it was new. Code 72 Hugger orange as per the trim tag. It is slick, smooth as glass. You can't even feel the hockey stick stripe. The jambs are just as slick. Laser straight body, the panels fit tight, square and flush. The windows roll up effortlessly and fit spot on against the convertible top. The doors shut like a new car, even with the windows up. Every single piece of chrome is new, has exterior trim group. All the stainless is new and polished like chrome. Every rubber gasket, weatherstrip, fuzzy window seals are new. All new glass. The power white top is tight as a drum and crisp as a fresh snowfall. The wheels are pristine and painted proper colors. New BFG tires. It features spoilers and of course the Rally Sport option. The RS includes retractable lights with headlight washers and relocated reverse lights. The vacuum headlight system is all new.
INTERIOR: Incredible level of detail. Everything is new. The chrome plastic vents and dash trim sparkles. Open the ashtray and glovebox; they are brand new! Up under the dash looks brand new. If you were to remove a door panel, it looks brand new inside. It features rosewood trim and matching deluxe wheel on a tilt column. It has full set of gauges and tachometer, the clock has quartz movement. The gauges light up crystal clear, interior lights all work. The seat belts are brand new. Under the new upholstery and cushions, the seat springs are restored. Has new deluxe doorpanels. It is correct down to the Hurst shifter and am radio.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Holy cow, it is meticulous; just like it rolled off the assembly line 5 minutes ago. The new high tech motors are nice but there is no substitute for this fire breathing L-78. Listen to this thing roar on our web video. It features high performance solid lifter cam, high compression, square port heads, aluminum high rise, big Holley carb etc, all factory. We have a full list of all the proper codes from the heads and intake to the carb and distributor. The vin # on the engine matches the car. It has correct smog equipment, deep pulleys for high revving, correct hoses, clamps, battery cables etc. The parts have their proper finishes. You should also know every single part is rebuilt too. New wiring, new Harrison 4 core radiator etc. As close to new as you can possibly get.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly clean metal with a nice coat of spatter paint sprayed from a gun. Has new mat, restored SS spare and jack.
UNDERSIDE: Spotless! Every mechanical component is rebuilt or replaced. The finishes are correct, it is meticulously detailed. The M-21 4 speed is vin # matched to the car and rebuilt. Has original code BU 1969 3.73 posi 12 bolt rear end. Correct exhaust from Gardner. The metal floors, seams, spotwelds are super clean.
I have seen many restored cars with tons of new parts thrown at them. I'm telling you this one was meticulously reassembled.
