Extremely Unique
This little promo truck re-created from the before photo to the after photo. An extremely unique showpiece that commands serious attention - the early photos show a plain est. 1921 Ford model T with a built body. We used the photo to completely scale the complete camera car. Since Eastman Kodak began a business in 1888 our chassis of choice was a 1914 Ford open C cab - brass era car - completely restored. C-cab built to resemble a camera case. Fenders are gloss black with 23 karat gold leaf - the hood is outlined with early logo all in 23 karat gold leaf. The lenses are all custom built. The rear body section has a very intricate infrastructure all multi-angled wood body covered in harts cloth canvas. The cab is covered in black grained leatherette to resemble the case. The Kodak Rep would drive this to a small town and after a crowd gathered, he would explain to the farmers and town folks the benefits of the camera. Farmers selling horses and cattle could now exchange photos of their stock. The town folks could now capture wonderful memories of their children and family members as they grew older. The salesman would explain the benefits of the camera and it is believed he would carry a stack of new cameras and film that were available for a price, for the asking. The camera opened up a whole new world that in a snapshot, could capture history. This truck begins with a rebuilt engine with a hand-polished brass radiator along with light bezels and all edges finished in quarter oval solid polished brass. This is one show-stopping unbelievable work of art that captures how special props were used to promote and sell their goods before radio, TV and all new electronic sound media. Many hours went into the build with work of 4 professional artisans. This example is registered 1 of 2 - built by Billy's Big Boy's Garage - a division of Volo Classic Cars - Volo Auto Museum.Call Our Classic Car Division Today!
