The original hot rod! Henry Ford steel body.
This is the real deal, original hot rod!EXTERIOR: Genuine Henry Ford 1927 steel body touring that was cut down into a 2 seater. Has working doors and cowl vent. The tall windshield is an original with 2 piece swing out glass and chrome frame. Has metal Ford script radiator shell. It also has original style headlights with Ford script glass lenses and in back at has model A tail lights. Has a custom fuel tank in back. Reproduction Firestone's on 1935 style wire wheels.
INTERIOR: Very nicely done red upholstery with pleated seat. Original type pedals and shifter. Has hand e-brake. Updated Stewart Warner tachometer and gauges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a flathead V-8 with an Edmonds polished aluminum intake and dual carbs with chrome air cleaner lids. Also has vintage style bee hive oil filter. The engine looks fresh, all new hardware. Has vintage Mallory ignition system. It does have a couple of updates, an alternator and an electric fan on the Walker radiator.
UNDERSIDE: It is like new, literally. Everything is restored and detailed, all the nuts and bolts are new. Chassis is cleaned and painted red. Up front it has drilled axle, transverse spring with vintage style shock absorbers. The front end is rebuilt, new hardware. In back it has a "banjo" rear end, round trailing arms, shocks and transverse spring.
This is museum worthy, we actually are talking about giving it a permanent display. This is not a rat rod, this an authentic hot rod with a current restoration. Fun to drive locally, a real conversation piece!
