Cold a/c, upgraded chassis. Clean uncut body.

I bought this from a collector in North Carolina. The body appears to be uncut original. It's a high performance hot rod but it does have manners. It is a driver, the a/c is even cold! I did not mention it's hot looking, but you already knew that.

EXTERIOR: I love the look! The colors are great, the stance and the wheels are awesome. It seems to have a rust free, original metal body. The bottom of the doors have a clean lip. 1/4 panels are original and the factory pinch welds around the wheel opening are still visible. It is straight every where and the gaps are right. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. The stripes are smooth to the touch. It has front and rear spoilers, cowl hood and sport mirrors. In front it has bumperettes like an R/S. Upgraded quad projector beam halo headlights. Clean jambs, nice weatherstrips. New windshield. Bumpers, headlight bezels, lenses look new. Door handles and window moldings are still original. The wheels are highly polished and have performance tires. Staggered sizes- 17s in front, 18s in back and extra wide.

INTERIOR: The white upholstery is a great contrast against the orange exterior. New deluxe upholstery. Down on the floor is new carpet and Z-28 floor mats. The console looks new and has a Hurst quarter stick shifter. Up above the headliner is excellent and dome light works. In front of me the dash pad, vents, instrument panel, plastic trim has all been replaced. Upgraded with digital gauges. Upgraded climate controls with electric slides instead of cables. Sharp looking steering wheel. The modern stereo lights up the same color as the gauges. The door panels are real nice, they have some minor wrinkles where it rubs the dash.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a very healthy built 396. They started with a good block, it has high performance cast right on it. The guy that had it built has a reputation in his area for having fast cars. I drove it home, it runs like a race car but is very manageable. It idles at the light just fine, runs smooth. The a/c is even ice cold. On top of the motor is a set of cast aluminum Chevrolet valve covers, Edelbrock intake with a dual feed Holley carb, fuel regulator and MSD ignition system. A set of headers lets it exhale. It also has Nitrous system hooked up,, the previous owner says he never used it. Features include power steering power brakes and a Classic Auto Air air conditioning system. It has new battery cables, there is a transmission cooler up front, the squirters are hooked up, fan shroud is proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks to be rock solid metal. I don't see any splices in the quarters, I believe they are the originals. It was spatter painted, has a new rubber mat and weatherstrip. There is a nitrous bottle painted to match the car.

UNDERSIDE: The chassis had been upgraded. In front it has CPP fat tubular control arms, new shocks, springs, bushings. The front is tied to the back with welded frame connectors. In back it has tubular control arms, new shocks and swaybar bushings. Looking up at the motor it is clean, it has a high torque starter. The trans is a Turbo 400 automatic that was performance built. It has a manual valve body. The driveshaft has a safety loop and is hooked to a 12 bolt rear with aluminum cover. It has a custom exhaust with fat stainless pipes, welded joints, crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. The floors look to be virgin original metal. I don't see any patches or rust. Clean rockers, pinch welds, braces etc. The body was off the frame, body bushings replaced. It has custom fuel pump and filter system.

This is an exciting car from the minute you lay eyes on it. Then hearing the rumble of the motor will get your juices flowing. When you put it in drive is when the thrill really starts!
