2 tops, great colors. From a NC collector.

America's other sports car, at least for 3 years. Boy does it look good in Thunderbird blue, very 1950s. We just acquired 3 cars from a collector in North Carolina, this is one of them.

EXTERIOR: The body looks very clean and straight. All the body panels line up nice, the hood fits perfectly square. It's smooth even along the rockers and the bottoms of the doors. I love the eye popping color. The paint is very smooth and glossy. I did not find any problem areas. Overall the chrome shows very well. Upfront the bumper was rechromed, the grill, emblems, turnsignal lights all look good. Some pitting on the hood scoop bezel. The fender louvers and door handles look new. The rear bumper doesn't look brand new but it is straight and shiny. Original style hubcaps are excellent, rims are painted to match and it has radial tires. It has a factory convertible top frame that stores behind the seat. The white convertible is real good condition. The white removable hardtop is restored. The paint, headliner, trim and rubber are very good. The door jambs look nice, weather strips are replaced. The windshield real clear.

INTERIOR: Sharp looking inside too, it matches the outside colors. The upholstery and the door panels are very good. The dash area appears to be in very good shape. The chrome is good original. It could use a new steering wheel.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a 292 engine with the original teapot four-barrel carburetor. It also has optional engine dress up kit which includes a chrome air cleaner, oil breather and finned aluminum Thunderbird valve covers. The generator has been upgraded with an alternator and it is updated with a 12-volt system. The engine compartment is very respectable.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Salid in the trunk compartment. The grey plaid liner kit and the weather strip were replaced. The spare is painted to match the car, the tire has never been used.

UNDERSIDE: It appears to be very solid. The floors are undercoated, the frame is smooth. Recent work would include a new dual exhaust system. The fuel system has been replaced. The shocks were replaced awhile ago. Looking up at the motor it is clean, freeze plugs were replaced. Ford-o-matic transmission also looks clean. Both were claimed to be rebuilt.

It's not a frame off restored trailer car but it appears to be a solid, straight car looks sure looks purdy.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
