Big block, 4-speed, a/c, ps, pdb, p top, gauges, console, tilt!

It checks all the boxes! A big block, 4-speed with a/c in a convertible is rare enough. Don't forget about the gauges, power steering, disc brakes, bucket seats and more. If you didn't notice it's red with a white interior too just! I just bought three fantastic convertibles from a collector in Alabama. Each one is restored to excellent condition.

EXTERIOR: The body looks to be in very impressive condition. It is completely straight, I don't see any signs of rust or damage. No blisters, the body panels lineup beautifully. The doors shut like a new car. According to the trim tag it's a code 52 garnet red car. The paint is polished out like glass. It has the white SS stripes on each side. All of the exterior trim has been replaced- the bumpers, grill, emblems, mirrors, door handles, tail lights etc. The white convertible top looks new. The jambs are painted real slick, all new weather strips and window seals. The windshield was replaced, stainless trim around the windshield is polished. New SS wheels with BFGoodrich tires.

INTERIOR: Completely restored to original condition and it's full of nice accessories. According to the tag it is a parchment interior which looks great and stays cool. Between the bucket seats is a console with a Hurst 4-speed sticking out of it. In front of you, you will find a complete factory tach and gauge cluster, clock, a deluxe wheel on a tilt column a retro stereo and a power top switch. All in excellent shape. The seats have been recushioned, reupholstered and new plastic trim. The door panels, window cranks, handles and armrests were replaced. The mirror and visors are new. The owner's manual is in the glovebox.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a correct 396-350 horsepower engine. The correct casting codes, date and high perf is on the block. It has a factory aluminum intake, stock exhaust manifolds, valve covers and air cleaner. The entire engine compartment looks like it's been restored to stock condition. The power brake booster is cadmium plated. It also has power steering and factory air conditioning. The air has been serviced and updated with R134 freon. There is a Delco battery topper with reproduction cables, battery disconnect switch and the battery is bolted down properly. It has a proper clutch fan, shroud and even a correct cap. The underhood light works. It has hood insulation, wiper motor looks new, reproduction GM hoses and clamps.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's complete with a jack and spare. New mat, well liner, decals and weatherstrip. It has a trunk light. It looks to me like it's the original metal including the quarter panels. I don't see any splices. It's been spatter painted and then clear coated for durability. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick red.

UNDERSIDE: The front end has been all rebuilt- ball joints, bushings, shocks, sway bar, steering controls etc. It has the F41 suspension which includes front and rear sway bars and rear boxed control arms. The rear suspension was also rebuilt with new bushings and shocks. The brakes were redone, the E-brake assembly looks complete. It has disc in front. The fuel system was replaced including the tank, straps and sending unit. The dual exhaust system is Dynomax mufflers and correct cowbell tips. Looking up at the motor it's real clean. Fresh Chevy orange, starter looks fresh. It has a Muncie 4-speed trans and a 12-bolt rear end. It's a code CX which is correct for a big block, 3.07 cruising gears. The floors are solid metal.

No this isn't a dream, this car is real and available for purchase unless someone beat you to it! If that's the case I am very sorry.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
