Real SS. Crate 502, 3.55 posi, ps, pdb. Exceptional condition.

Born a real SS with 327 and a 4-speed. Documented with original protect-o-plate. It was born and raised in California, clean original metal. It was frame off restored to high standards. I drove it home and was very impressed.

EXTERIOR: Absolutely clean body. Looks like it has original metal and it's straight every where. The body gaps are precise. The paint is over 20 years old and looks like it just rolled out of the restoration shop! The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is smooth and glossy. Upfront it sparkles- the grill, bumper, bumper guards and emblems are in excellent shape. It has correct T-3 headlights. All the emblems, moldings, vent window frames, bowtie mirror and door handles look like new. The stainless trim around the windows polished. In back the chrome tail panel, tail lights, bumper, bumper guards sparkle like new. It has rally wheels, a little wider in back. The trim rings and caps are mint, BFGoodrich tires look new. Door jambs are immaculate, bottom of the doors are clean. The weather strips and sill plates were replaced.

INTERIOR: It's amazing inside, it sparkles. It feels and looks like new. Down on the floor the carpet and embroidered Super Sport floor mats look new. It also has a complete set of blue seat belts with deluxe retractors in front. In front of me is an optional padded dash, new chrome instrument bezel, factory gauge cluster, quartz movement clock. All the lenses, gauges, knobs are excellent. The metal is painted as nice as the outside of the car. The seats have been cushioned and reupholstered. Overhead the visors, mirror, headliner looks like new. The dome light works. Door panels, armrests, window cranks are new. A stereo is mounted below the dash in a case that's painted too match the car, 6x9 speakers in the back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: GM 502 HO crate motor makes 461 hp and 551 lbs of torque! It has a Schneider roller cam, GM dual plane intake with a Holley 750 carb, GM HEI ignition with an MSd soft touch rev control and a set of Hooker Super Competition headers. It features power steering and a CPP power brake system with upgraded dual reservoir master. The battery has a disconnect. All the metal surfaces are smooth and painted nicely. It has a working hood light, chrome alternator and bracket. Very tidy and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely clean, dry original metal. I don't see any splices in the quarters or the trunk floor. It has a neat gray and white spatter finish paint. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted real nice blue. The factory pinch welds and seams are crisp. New decals, rear seat insulation, trunk mat and weatherstrip. Original jack and spare.

UNDERSIDE: Super dry, clean original metal. The floors, and frame are smooth. Inner rockers and quarters are clean. The front end was completely rebuilt. It has upgraded sway bar and Bilstein gas shocks. Rebuilt rear suspension has boxed control arms, sway bar and gas shocks. The fuel tank, straps and sending unit were replaced. The brakes were redone.. it has disc in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Great sounding 3 inch exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and electric dumps. Hit a botton and it opens right off the headers to really shake the ground. It has a Milodon extra capacity oil pan and a Powermaster high torque starter. Richmond Super T-10 close ratio 4-speed trans. Balanced Centerforce clutch, Lakewood bellhousing and a Hurst Super Shifter. Replaced flywheel, throw out and pilot bearings, clutch fork etc. 12 bolt rear end has a 3.55 posi.

This is one of the exceptional ones. Really it is dialed in so nice. Fit and finish is excellent in and out. It functions and feels is like a new car. The new owner will be a very happy customer!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
