It's virtually new. Ford did an outstanding job of merging the vintage style and feel of the first T-bird Roadster with modern reliability, comfort, and technology. This is a car that satisfies the urge of wanting a classic with none of the inconveniences of a 64-year-old antique. It truly is a pleasure to drive, it's so easy and comfortable.

EXTERIOR: Appears to be original paint – I closely inspected it looking for signs of repaint and found none. The paint is in excellent condition. The shape of the grill, placement of the fog lamps, the scooped hooks and round taillights really bear strong resemblance to the original 1955. This is a 2 topper – featuring a power German cloth black convertible and lift off painted hardtop with classic porthole window. This vehicle also has 17-inch chrome wheels.

INTERIOR: Very sporty and luxurious all in one. In between the leather wrapped sport seats is a console which offers cup holders (won't find those in a 55) and the "select shift" shifter which was new for 2003 and allows for both automatic and manual shifting. The interior is also filled with power accessories including a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: There's a V8 with 32 valves and double overhead cams producing 280 HP – 27 more than the year before. The motor compartment looks new. The air cleaner housing is sharp and proudly displays V8 and Vintage Thunderbird emblems. Runs like a jewel!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is like new and fully lined. Under the floor is the location for the battery, original spare, and jack.

UNDERSIDE: Still looks nearly new. Everything looks proper. This vehicle has an original dual stainless exhaust system and ABS ventilated disc brakes at each corner. It also features traction control, independent suspension front and back, and a 5-speed automatic transmission.
