3,306 actual mile survivor! Special gold edition!

3,306 actual miles!! This is an all original survivor. 1 owner until he recently passed away. This is a Y88 gold Special Edition Trans Am. Made one year only, it features solar gold paint, gold tinted T-tops and other gold accents inside and out. Original paper work includes Pontiac Historical documents, invoice, bill of sale, window sticker, owner's manual.

EXTERIOR: This is one of the best original Trans Am paint jobs I've seen. It is so glossy it looks like it was just painted with clear coat. The body is 100% original with no damage, no rust. Believed to be all original paint. Walk up to it and the paint looks like a show car. If you look for flaws there are a few minor nicks. All the metal flake is laid out evenly, the color is uniform and it has a smooth finish. The rubber bumpers are excellent there's some imperfections in the paint. Some stains, nicks and a scuff on the passenger side front corner. The grills are mint, some of the gold flaked off. The shaker hood scoop is not cut or drilled. The glass is crystal clear. The T-tops are mint and have gold tinted glass, unique to the Gold Edition. The window seals and weather strips are all soft and in excellent shape. The paint in the door jambs is excellent, it still has an old oil change sticker on the driver's side. The sill plates are shiny. The gold edition has gold snowflake wheels with gold birds on the center caps. The tires are even original!

INTERIOR: It is pristine in this car! It is a deluxe interior with power windows, trunk, locks, rear defogger and rally gauges. The headliner is drooping, other than that it looks new. All the plastic trim is mint, no fading or scratches. The dash are is spotless. It has gold tinted machine turned instrument panel and gold spokes on the formula wheel. No custom speakers or stereo, it is 100% stock. The cigarette lighter has never been used. The upholstery and door panels look new. The carpet is excellent, only 1 small spot in the back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has it's original vin # matching 6.6L 400 motor. Everything in here is original, it still has factory tags and stickers on the master cylinder, brake booster, cruise control and throttle cables. It looks like only the battery and maybe hoses were changed. It has had zero spray paint added, the finishes are original. Features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and cruise control. I tried the air and it was blowing cold! It has a Chapman alarm that was added at the dealership when it was new, it's on the paper work.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is like brand new. It has a working power trunk release and working trunk light. The metal is spotless and has never been painted over. It has the original insulated trunk mat, original collapsible spare with the ink stamps still on the tread. The jack assembly has probably never been out of the car. It still has the air bottle to fill it.

UNDERSIDE: Completely original underneath. Very well preserved. He did pay $120 for undercoat when it was new, it is just lightly sprayed in some areas on the floor. It has never been spray painted over or touched up since. Then there's zero rust under the car other than the insignificant surface rust on some bare parts. The floors are perfect. The are still clean. Bottom of the motor is clean, not greasy and never been respray painted. It has VIN # matching Turbo 350. The original posi rear still has assembly line paint markings on it. The exhaust system is still original with the catalytic converter, transverse muffler and splitter tips. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up.

This is one of the best condition survivor Trans Ams I've ever seen. I am sure it was intentionally well cared for, it wasn't just forgotten about and neglected. The SE Gold Edition is a very desirable collectible. This must be one of the best in existence.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
