Real SS! Fresh frame off restoration. Air, ps, pdb, posi.

This is a real SS 396. It has been frame off restored just three years ago.

EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is amazing. Every square inch of it is straight, the panels fit precisely. It is smooth from the rockers to the roof. Really, I couldn't find any problem areas. The doors shut like new. It is repainted it's original Butternut Yellow but I can tell you it is way nicer than it was when new. It is polished out like yellow glass. It has the black SS stripe and tail panel. It looks like all the exterior trim is replaced. Up front the bumper, emblem, grille and bezels sparkle. It even has reproduction T-3 headlights. On the sides we've got new marker lights, antenna, door handles and all the stainless trim around the windows. In back the emblems and bumper are new. New front and rear windows, the sight glass is real nice original and fits real good. The window seals and weather strips have been replaced. The door jambs are painted just as slick as the car, the bottom edge of the doors are spotless. The latches and sill plates are new. The wheels look great. They are 18s all around but wider in back with a fatter tire. It has Nitto Extreme ZRs.

INTERIOR: All new from carpet to the headliner. Down on the floor it has new carpet, embroidered Chevelle mats and seatbelts in the front and rear. The seats have new cushions, upholstery, plastic and chrome trim. The center console is all new. The door panels, armrests, handles and window cranks are new. In front of me is a new dash pad, all new trim, knobs and heater control panel. New custom instrument panel with Sport Comp gauges and custom steering wheel. There is a retro stereo that fits right in the factory hole, it has an auxiliary plug, kick panel speakers and 6x9s in back. Air conditioning controls and vents are neatly under the dash. Overhead is a new tight fitting headliner, matching visors, new mirror and working dome light.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is a correct 396-325 hp Chevelle motor. It has been rebuilt and is closer to hoo hp now. It was bored 30 over, it has an Edelbrock intake, dual feed Holley carb with an electric choke, electronic ignition and a set of coated headers. It's dressed up with finned aluminum valve covers. It has a new heat and air conditioning system. New wiper motor the squirters are hooked up. It has a new alternator. It features power steering which is new and has the correct remote reservoir. Power brake booster is switch is cadmium plated, new master cylinder and stainless lines. New shroud and clutch fan and an electric fan in front. Original style spring clamp battery cable, the horns are hooked up. All the metal surfaces are smooth and clean. It has hood insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean metal, no patches. It was neatly spatter painted. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick as the car. New weatherstrip. BFGoodrich tire on a painted SS rim for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: Fresh body off frame restoration, everything still looks new. The front end is all new- the ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, springs, polyurethane bushings. In back it has custom boxed control arms, sway bar, new bushings and Hotchkis gas shocks. Custom fat exhaust system with crossover pipe and SS cowbell tips. The brake system is new. It has disc in front, new hoses, lines and e-brake assembly. The fuel system was replaced including the tank, straps, sending unit and lines. Looking up at the motor it's spotless, the starter is rebuilt. It has a rebuilt Turbo 400 automatic. 12 bolt rear end has 3.73 posi gears. The floors, braces and rockers are super clean and dry. Under the car is painted satin black.
