Frame off restored! Factory red, ps, pdb.

This gorgeous 1969 Chevelle has been body off frame restored. Sharp looking lipstick red top to bottom, big block and a 4-speed.

EXTERIOR: The body is laser beam straight, smooth from the rockers to the roof. I didn't find any bubbles or damage. The panels fit square and flush, it has new GM fenders and GM full 1/4 panels. It is a factory Garnet red car, I think it is repainted a brighter red. No vinyl top which gives it a slicker appearance. The clear coat is polished to a very high gloss smooth finish. There are a few minor imperfections if you look for them. The jambs are painted glossy. It has the SS stripes down each side. Up front the bumper is rechromed, the grill and trim is in very good shape. The chrome grills on the hood, mirrors, door handles and emblems were replaced. In back the taillights and trim was replaced. Blacked out SS tail panel, the bumper is rechromed. Weather strips and window seals were all replaced. The SS wheels have been repainted, new lug nuts, center caps and trim rings. The BFGoodrich tires look new.

INTERIOR: Down on the floor it has new carpet and sill plates. There's a factory console between the two bucket seats. The seats have new cushions, upholstery, headrests, plastic trim and chrome trim. The backseat was reupholstered. Door panels, armrests and window cranks have been replaced. The headliner is in very good original shape. The dash pad has been reupholstered. The instrument bezel is not cut or broken, original heater control panel. Optional tilt column with a new deluxe wheel. There is a Sport Comp gauge cluster below the dash. It still has it's original seatbelts.

MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Completely rebuilt big block, bored 30 over making it a 408. It has new pistons, 498-512 cam and square port heads. On top is an Edelbrock aluminum intake, dual feed Holley carb, HEI Flamethrower ignition. It also has a set of headers. It's dressed up with new original style chrome valve covers and air cleaner. New alternator and fuel pump. It features power steering and a new power brake system with a cadmium plated booster. Upgraded aluminum radiator, new shroud, clutch fan and GM radiator hose.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal throughout and neatly spatter painted. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted gloss red, weatherstrip was replaced.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame. All clean metal painted smooth satin black finish. The front end has been completely rebuilt including ball joints, bushings, springs, inner and outer tie rods, shocks etc. In back it is upgraded with UMI control arms, new sway bar, shocks and springs. The brakes have been completely redone, disc in front. Brake lines and e-brake assembly were replaced. Custom stainless exhaust with X-pipe and SS cowbell tips. New fuel system including the tank, straps, insulators, sending unit and fuel lines. Bottom of the motor is spotless Chevy orange and has a high torque starter. The Muncie 4-speed is the very desirable M-22 rock crusher with a Hurst linkage. U-joints have been replaced. The 12 bolt rear end has a chrome cover.

This is a great example of a Chevelle. Restored to car show condition, it functions real well and it is exceptionally sharp looking in all red!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
