#s match motor and colors! Meticulous body off frame restored.

What a knock out! #s matching 396 with a 4-speed in a convertible is an awesome package. To make things really over the top it's a factory Lemans Blue car over pearl white interior, gorgeous. 70,000 miles is indicated as original on the title. This car has undergone a body off frame restoration, it looks like a new 69 SS!

EXTERIOR: According to the tag this car was born these amazing colors! The body is in excellent condition. I just wiped the whole car down and didn't find any damage, blisters or cracks. It's straight down both sides, the panels fit square. The doors shut real nicely. I believe it has original quarter panels, lip around the door is clean. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like wet glass. Even the jambs are real slick. The SS stripe is painted on both sides and is smooth to the touch. Upfront the bumper is rechromed, the grill, lenses emblems and trim have all been replaced. It has correct T3 headlamps. The wheelwell moldings emblems, mirrors, door handles have all been replaced. It has the correct FM antenna. In back the bumper, trim, tail lights have been replaced. The glass is real nice, windshield was replaced. The stainless around the windshield is polished. All the weather strips and window seals are new. The power top is white, it looks new. The SS wheels look new and are wrapped in BFG tires.

INTERIOR: The pearl white is not only a stunning contrast to the blue paint but it stays much cooler in the sun. The cushions were replaced, seats were reupholstered. All new door panels and armrests. Down on the floor it has new carpet, Chevelle floormats and a new center console with a correct Muncie shifter and chrome ball. In front of me is an all new instrument panel, heater controls, knobs, vents etc. It has optional clock and factory gauges with tachometer. New power top switch, working factory AM-FM radio. It has a full set of GM seatbelts in real good shape. The visors, mirror, handles and cranks are new.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the optional 350 hp 396. It is vin # matching to this car, the dates and codes line up as well. It is restored to look like it just left the factory. The motor is neatly painted Chevy Orange and has new chrome valve covers, restored air cleaner, correct manifolds, carburetor and fuel filter. It even has GM hoses and clamps Features include power steering and power brakes with a cadmium plated booster. The wiper motor is restored, squirters are hooked up. It has the correct fan shroud, new wiring harness, hood insulation and spring clamp battery cables. All the metal surfaces are painted smooth.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The metal is very dry and clean. I don't see any splices or patches, not even in the quarter panels. It's been neatly spattered painted. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are very smooth glossy blue paint. The seams and spot welds in the jamb appear to be original. It has a new wellliner, trunk mat, weatherstrip, decals and wiring harness. It is complete with a restored spare and jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame so the underside could be restored like new. I am really impressed how smooth and clean the floors are. The factory braces and seams are clean and neatly painted satin black. The chassis was disassembled, prepped and painted very neatly. It was put back together with all new steering and suspension components including bushings, ball joints, shocks, tie rods etc. It has the F41 suspension which includes swaybars and boxed rear control arms. The brake system has been completely restored, it has disc in front. They replaced the calipers, hoses, brake lines and e-brake assembly. The fuel system is all new also- the tank, sending unit, straps and lines. Optional chambered exhaust system which has crimped pipes instead of mufflers and it even has the correct resonators and cowbell tips. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, starter is rebuilt. It has correct Muncie 4-speed transmission, the clutch and linkage were replaced. It has a correctly dated 12 bolt posi rear.

You would really be treating yourself to an amazing car here. The combination of colors and features are super desirable, condition is exceptional and #s matching makes it an investment. It's a win, win, win!
