Genuine Hugger Orange Z-28 Rally Sport, documented with original build sheet. Correct driveline. California car with original metal. Only 3,000 miles on restoration.
The 1970 is considered by many as the best Z-28 ever built. With it's sleek European styling and legendary LT-1 motor this car was and is in high demand.

EXTERIOR: Factory Rally Sport which includes split bumpers, extended nose and relocated turnsignals. All original sheet metal. It is straight, I don't see any rust or damage. The panels all fit square and flush. It has sport mirrors and spoilers. Repainted it's original Hugger Orange color, rare and desirable. The paint looks great, smooth and glossy. Jambs are slick. Only minor imperfections if you look for them. Even the stripes are smooth to the touch. Overall the chrome and trim is shiny and straight. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. Correct 15 inch Z-28 wheels have Goodyear tires.

INTERIOR: Very nice, unabused interior. The carpet has been replaced and it has a set of Lloyds embroidered floormats. The door panels and all the plastic trim is in very good shape throughout. The headliner has been replaced, visors are excellent. Dash pad is very nice. It has a full set of factory gauges including 6,500 redline tachometer (which is correct for a Z-28). It also has a factory clock. The tilt column has the RS steering wheel. It still has the factory am radio. Clean center console has a Hurst 4-speed coming out of it. The glovebox pouch has an owner's manual and warranty booklet. All the GM seatbelts are there, dome light works.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The legendary LT-1: It has been said it wouldn't be fair to compare to other small blocks, it is in the league of high performance big blocks and it weighs less. They were built with heavy duty parts including 4 bolt mains. Solid lifters, a hot cam, big valves, 11:1 compression and a big Holley carb contribute to it's awesome performance. This one has a correct dated block with correct components. Correct 186 heads, 110 aluminum intake, 2019 distributor, Holley carb, 837 alternator. Dressed with finned aluminum valve covers and a dual snorkle air cleaner with a rechromed lid. It even has the complete smog system hooked up. These have deep groove pulleys so the belts don't fly off at high revs. Features include power steering and power brakes. The booster is cadmium plated, stainless brake lines. Correct Gm hoses and clamps. It is proper and complete. Proper clutch fan and shroud, squirters are hooked up, has hood insulation, both horns. The metal is clean and has smooth painted surfaces.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The original metal is clean, no splices in the quarter panels. It's been spatter painted and has a rubber mat. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. New weatherstrip and decals. Matching Z-28 rim with a BFG tire for a spare, has jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame. The Z-28 comes with a special tuned suspension including front and rear swaybars. Front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt. Shocks, bushings, balljoints, etc were replaced. The steering was completely rebuilt. Fuel system was replaced including the tank, sending unit, lines etc. Brake system was rebuilt. It has disc in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Factory style exhaust with transverse muffler and angle cut polished tips. Looking up at the motor is is fresh, starter and fuel pump look like new. It has a correctly dated legendary Rock Crusher Muncie 4-speed. U-joints were replaced. It has original 12 bolt 4.10 posi rear. The floors are very clean, smooth metal. The pinch welds on the rockers are clean, behind the tires is dry metal. It's painted a semi-gloss black.

This is an excellent example of a very desirable car. From a collector, it's a legit car!
