I'm in love! This top of the line Pontiac is gorgeous. Spaceflight was a fascination of people in the 1950s. It's obviously highlighted in the design of this car, from the rockets on the 1/4s to the stars embossed in the headliner. Believed to have 49,593 actual miles, the car's condition certainly backs up that claim.

EXTERIOR: 1 year only body style, new low swept roof line and quad headlights. Unique grooves in the trunk lid. Dry Alabama car. The body is amazing. It's straight, no damage or rust. The panels fit precisely, the doors click shut. Repainted it's original colors: Patina White and Starlight Silver. The paint is polished to a smooth glossy finish. Fully decked out with an abundance of chrome and trim. It has chrome jets on top of the fenders, mirrors that look like spaceships, fake air outlet on the roof, stars on the 1/4s and the rocket trim on each side that even have red reflectors where the thrusters would be. It also has optional door handle guards, rocker moldings, fender trim, thick Bonneville letters on grill and trunk, chrome grill, faux exhaust tips and more! The reverse light opens to access the gas cap. The chrome and stainless are restored to show quality. Windshield was replaced. Other features include a continental kit, fender skirts and power antenna. It has radial whitewall tires with a very good set of original hubcaps.

INTERIOR: Just as cool inside. The black carpet has the chrome tinsel. The upholstery has chrome stitching and piping. In back a center armrest pops up and there is a hump on top of each side of the seat which gives it a sporty look. The door panels are gorgeous, I would hang them on a wall like art. They are fully trimmed in chrome. The sliver headliner and visors have stars embossed in them. All of the aforementioned is in excellent shape. It has a padded dash. The steering wheel and instrument area is full of style and in very good original shape. It has a wonderbar radio but a stereo is neatly located under the dash. It also has power windows. There is even cool design work on the brake and gas pedals!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A big 370 with a 4 barrel carb makes 285 hp. It runs smooth. Features include power steering and power brakes, electric wipers and washers. The engine bay is very clean factory condition. New hood insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Giant trunk is rock solid. It has a new gray plaid liner kit. The exposed metal is painted gloss white. It has original jack assembly, the spare is in the continental kit. New weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: It appears to be rock solid. Dry metal floors and frame. It's been maintained as needed. The fuel tank, brake hoses, shocks look replaced. It has a recent dual exhaust with cherry bomb mufflers. Looking up at the motor it is clean. It has the 4 speed Hydra-Matic trans.

Pontiac made a big attempt to replace the old man image with more of a sporty rocket ship image. I would say they were very successful! The more you look, the more you will find interesting. It is art on wheels. It happens to be a very clean example too. I feel it has the great characteristics of a low mile car that's been cared for.
