In 1965 the Caprice was the highest trim level available on an Impala. This one was even ordered with a 396 big block motor! It is a clean, 68,000 mile car. #s match motor, original metal. It has a lot of original qualities along with some nice upgrades.

EXTERIOR: This is a great looking hardtop without the center pillar, looks like a 2 door! It also has the round taillights that people love. The body appears to have clean original metal. No rust or damage. It's straight and fits nice. Doors shut like new. 1 time repaint in its original Arctic White color. The paint shows very well, it's shiny. The 15x7 US Mags look great, I love the spiked lug nuts. BFG tires. Original chrome and trim presents itself very well. Vinyl top is excellent. Good original glass. Most weatherstrips were replaced. Upgraded LED halo headlights and LED taillights.

INTERIOR: The Caprice option gives it an upgraded interior. The seats have more cushion with upgraded cloth and rear armrest. The door panels are significantly upgraded with matching fabric and wood grain trim. The seats and doors are in excellent shape. There is a patch on driver seat covering a split seam. The headliner is mint, carpet is real nice. The dash area is very good, not cut or broken. It has a stereo system including 2 amps, a sub woofer, 2 Alpine 6x9 speakers and a Pioneer stereo under the dash. Upgraded deluxe steering wheel and LED dash lights. Factory features include power windows, seat and a vacuum gauge. It has seat belts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching original 396 big block. It is upgraded with Edelbrock intake, carb, fuel pump, valve covers and air cleaner. It has an MSD distributor and fat plug wires. It runs cool with an aluminum water pump, goose neck, Frostbite radiator and overflow bottle. Upgraded chrome power brake booster and dual reservoir master. It also features power steering and 150 amp alternator.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid trunk compartment. Enough room to fit the lawn chairs, a cooler and a few bodies. The battery is relocated to the trunk in a stainless box. Under the trunk lid is original paint and has LED trunk light.

UNDERSIDE: Up front the springs, sway bar, bushings have been replaced recently. Upgraded 2 inch drop spindles, gas shocks, tie rod links and tubular upper control arms. In back it has new springs and gas shocks. Upgraded with 4 wheel disc brake upgrade. It has drilled and slotted rotors, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Bottom of the motor is clean. There is an adapter kit so a typical oil filter fits. It has a Turbo 400 automatic with new modulator and down shift mechanism. The 12 bolt rear end has a posi unit. Neatly bent dual exhaust with some custom tips. Floors appear to be rock solid original metal.

This has always been a well cared for car. The recent owner changed the oil every 1,000 miles with Lucas Hot Rod oil that has zinc. Lead additive and Lucas Safe Guard was put in every fuel fill up. It runs and handles great. A muscle car with comfort!
