Body off frame restored. Looks and runs like new!

Body off frame restored to factory specs. From the prestigious Ed Meurer car collection. His first collector car was a 1936 Ford back in 1958. This is a rare car, very few convertible sedans still exist. Just like the one used in Paper Moon, actually there are claims this is the car!

EXTERIOR: Rare convertible sedan which means the top goes down and it has roll up windows. It's a deluxe which means it has dual hidden horns, dual wipers, mirrors and taillights. All metal body and fenders. Obviously a professional body restoration, it is straight everywhere. No rust, bubbles or body work showing. Rare color avaliable for only 1 month- Bambolino Blue with Tacoma Cream pin stripe. It has a smooth, glossy finish. All the chrome was redone. It has Ford locking gas cap and greyhound hood ornament. The fender welts, rubber grommets, ribbed running boards and weatherstrips were replaced. The windshield looks new. The tan cloth convertible top is in excellent shape. 2 of us easily folded it down in just a few minutes. The convertible top boot fits nicely. It has reproduction whitewalls on the restored wheels. It also has restored 1936 license plates.

INTERIOR: Genuine leather upholstery on the seats, still soft with no issues. The door panels were replaced. The metal trim was nicely repainted. The gauges, knobs, trim are all very good. It has optional locking glovebox with a clock, heater and radio. The deluxe wheel is beautiful. Correct rubber mat in front, carpet in back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The Flathead V-8 runs smooth as silk. Every component looks like it was restored to new condition. It has correct cloth wrapped wires, reproduction hose clamps and hoses. Everything looks proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The latches are locking. Inside the trunk is completely refinished. The metal is painted, it has the liner kit. The wood is refinished. The spare tire has never been used.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for restoration. Very clean metal under the car painted the same color. The chassis is smooth semi glass black. It's obvious the car was all apart and restored.

This is rolling artwork. It is a rare, desirable antique car but it was it's condition that really sold me. It's a pleasure just to look at. Although driving it is a truly a delight.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
