Upgraded 302, power disc, rack & pinion

First year of the smaller Ranchero built on the Falcon chassis. They are handsome vehicles not seen very often. This one has what they call the "Grenada conversion". The upgraded driveline from a Ford Grenada fits without significant modifications. This is a clean car, solid metal. The owner spent $15,000 on miscellaneous improvements while he owned it.

EXTERIOR: It appears to have a very clean dry body. It is straight. It has been professionally repainted. Not a high-end job but it presents itself very nicely. The bumpers have both been rechromed. The grill is in good shape. The emblems, door handles, taillights and chrome trim around the bed opening is restored. New windshield and gasket. 16 inch Boyd wheels really dress it up.

INTERIOR: Nice looking interior. The seats and door panels are reupholstered and match each other. The instrument panel is very clean, the knobs have been replaced. It has a tachometer mounted on the column. The shifter is moved to the floor. New seat belts. The battery is relocated behind the seat, has a billet hold down and a disconnect switch. Dome light works.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with a 302 motor and it has an aluminum intake with a Holley carburetor, PerTronix ignition and Flame Thrower coil. It's dressed up with Ford racing valve covers, plug wires are neatly run with a billet holder. The front of the motor has a polished aluminum one wire alternator, aluminum pulleys and brackets. Rebuilt radiator with electric fan, replaced hoses, water pump, cap and clamps. Replaced power brake booster. Clean metal engine bay and it has custom filler panels by the support bar.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: New Show Deck floor. New wood trim with layer upon layer of polished varnish. Polished stainless strips and bolts. The sidewalls have been sprayed with a durable bedliner.

UNDERSIDE: Upfront it has new control arms, ball joints, swaybar, rack & pinion steering. Upgraded with front disc brakes, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is very clean, starter looks fresh. Rebuilt C-4 automatic trans. The floors and frame rails are rock solid original metal. I don't think they have ever even been spray painted over.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
