Barris custom! A/c, tri-power, working Lake pipes.

This is a George Barris endorsed custom, it has his Barris Custom emblems and signature on the visor. It has had extensive modifications and upgrades. It's old school from the cruiser skirts to the tuck and rolled upholstered dash! The tri-power carbs, 4-speed and functional Lake pipes make it fun to drive. The custom body and paint would easily cost $50,000 to duplicate today!

EXTERIOR: Excellent fit and finish. It has had some significant body modifications and they did a great job with it. It's straight, no rust or damage. Upfront the body was resculpted to accommodate 1954 turn signals and Pontiac bumpers. It has a 1955 Corvette grill with a custom tubular surround. The hood was shaved and louvered. The fuel door was filled and relocated; the antenna is frenched. In back it has Packard taillights grafted in, Pontiac bumper, recessed license plate and a shaved trunk lid. It's dressed up with bulged cruiser skirts and hand pin stripe. Gorgeous color, it is polished like wet candy. Door jambs are really clean. Weatherstrips were replaced. There are minor flaws if you look for them. Those Lake Pipes are actually functional with electric cut outs. It's rolling on a set of Coker Classic radial white walls, upfront is a set of chrome wire wheels. New front and rear glass.

INTERIOR: Sharp looking 50s style custom, excellent from floor to ceiling. Red and white pleated upholstery on the seats, door panels and even the dash pad and speaker shelf. Seats were recushioned. The metal trim on top of the doors, glovebox and ashtray door were chromed. The steering column is chromed and has a Moon Eyes tachometer mounted on it and a restored 58 Impala wheel. The factory radio has actually been upgraded with modern guts; it has an auxiliary plug. Below the dash is a gauge cluster and air conditioning unit. The headliner was reupholstered and has Bel Air chrome. The visor is signed by George Barris.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Put your sunglasses on, it fully dressed in chrome. It's a great running 305 V8, on top is an Offenhauser intake with 3 functional carbs and HEI ignition. Sharp looking nostalgic finned valve covers. It has an air conditioning system full of polished parts. Chrome Powermaster alternator, polished pulleys run cool with a chrome water pump, big aluminum radiator, electric fan, and a polished overflow bottle. Upgraded chrome dual reservoir master cylinder. The entire core support is chrome. Sharp looking engine bay.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: White tuck and rolled upholstered panels, under the trunk lid and a tire cover. The floor is carpeted with white bound edges. The fuel filler has been relocated inside the trunk. A car cover is included.

UNDERSIDE: It has a lowered suspension, springs and shocks have been replaced. The fuel tank was replaced. The dual exhaust system appears to be fairly new and has Xlerator mufflers. Overall, the floors look solid. Looking up at the motor it looks very clean. It has a T10 4-speed transmission, 3.36 gears in the rear end. There are underglow lights.

I just keep telling myself and others I'm impressed with this car. Typically, a car that has been modified to this extent in this price range is not this nice. It has a few years on it but they did a great job. They had good taste too. I like everything they did, especially the front bumper and rear taillights. It really seems to function very well too. This is A LOT of car for the money!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
