#s match, 58,000 miles. Original paint and interior!

Very desirable Q-code 351 Cobra Jet. 58,300 actual miles, same owner the last 26 years. Believed to be original paint and interior. Documented with Marti Report, only 199 made in these colors.

EXTERIOR: 90% original paint! All original metal in very good shape. It is absolutely straight and fits right. Overall, very dry and clean. It has the NASA scooped hood with black out patch. The paint still shows very well, especially considering its 59 years old. NOS front and rear spoilers. Excellent original chrome and trim. Excellent original glass, windshield has sticker from 1976. The optional slotted mags are polished bright.

INTERIOR: Unabused mostly original condition. It's a deluxe interior with optional sport deck rear seat. The original door panels look mint. The entire dash area looks great, not cut or broken. It has optional tachometer, original radio. The original seats are excellent, a seam is repaired on driver seat. Rear seat still looks like new. Console is good. The plastic trim is excellent, interior lights work. The original headliner has a patch behind the visors I did not point out in the video.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin number match 351 Cleveland Q code Cobra Jet motor. It was rebuilt less than 200 miles ago. It looks completely stock and complete. Stock manifolds, valve covers and air cleaner. It still has original stickers. It has power steering with HD cooling and power brakes. The pollution can is hooked up, fan shroud is proper, washer bottle is hooked up, both horns are attached. The metal is clean with tidy paint.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal with a neat spatter finish. It has original collapsible spare and jack assembly that still looks new. Original paint under the lid and jamb.

UNDERSIDE: Appears to be rock solid original metal. The floors, frame rails, rockers, lower quarters don't look like they've ever been messed with. Mechanics were maintained as needed. There's a few miscellaneous front end parts that look fresh. It has disc brakes in front, calipers look new. The e-brake cables are hooked up. It has a factory style dual exhaust. Bottom of the motor is clean; the starter is new. In 2001 it was upgraded from an automatic to a 4-speed. A correct 1973 trans with the tag still attached was used. 3.25 gears in the rear end.

This is a very original, unabused southern Mach 1. I really believe a majority of the car is original, unrestored. Try to find a Mach 1 that hasn't been restored that looks this good. Actually, look no further!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
