Survivor Buick From California
Very desirable fastback body. California car restored in the early 70s! 1 owner for 27 years. It comes with a book of information and history going back to the early 70s!EXTERIOR: Absolutely clean, straight rust free body. Very desirable fastback design. The paint is many years old and showing its age. This car would really benefit from a repaint. The body is so clean it shouldn't need hardly any bodywork. Overall, the chrome and trim are good and presentable. It has optional fog lamps, reverse light, bumper guards, and radio antenna. The wheels have deluxe trim.
INTERIOR: Correct Lebaron Bonney upholstery is excellent. The cushions are firm. Cloth door panels and headliner are excellent. Overall, the trim looks very good, the machine turned panels are excellent. The steering wheel is beautiful. It has optional turn signals, clock, heater, and seat belts were added.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 248 ci Fireball straight 8 with dual carbs. Engine was rebuilt by a Straight 8 expert. It's not detailed but it is very tidy, proper, and complete looking.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's very nice in the trunk. Carpet liner kit looks like new. Complete jack and spare assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The floors appear to be completely dry clean rust free original metal Jessie components appear to be good as a correct style single exhaust system dumb looking up at the motor it is clean claim is it 3 speed manual transmission
Bottom line I think this is a very good, honest, solid car. It's 40 year old restoration is showing age but it has great bones. It really runs and drives very well. If it was any other body style, I would not have bought it. The fastback has always been very sought after!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
