61,382 mile sweetheart! #s match.
INTRODUCTION: One owner from 1970-2025! #s match and documented with protect-o-plate. 61,000 actual miles, no rust issues, mint original body. This one is a sweetheart! Sold new to Sue Welch at Phinney Chevrolet, NY on 5-7-66. Rare, only 564 Corvettes were built total in 1966 with a 3-speed!EXTERIOR: Few cars can match the lines of a C2 Corvette coupe, and this example is exceptional. Believed to be a no-hit, all-original body, it shows no signs of damage or stress cracking, and the panel fit is outstanding. The doors shut with a reassuring precision, and the headlights operate exactly as they should. It has been refinished in its original Milano Maroon Metallic, applied evenly and topped with a deep, glossy clear coat. The bumpers have been rechromed, and it retains the correct antenna and bowtie mirror. Factory side exhaust—an absolute must, in my opinion—adds both visual punch and an unforgettable sound. It rides on 1965-style goldline tires updated to modern radials for better drivability, mounted on the proper spinner hubcaps.
INTERIOR: The interior is virtually spotless. It features beautifully fitted carpet from front to back, including a set of reproduction floor mats. The seats are upholstered in the optional genuine leather, while the door panels and dash pad are in mint condition. The instrument panel houses a clean, fully functional set of gauges—right down to the working clock—and it retains the original AM/FM radio. The console includes the correct three-speed shifter along with the proper clips for the factory seat belts. The glove box door is mint, and inside you'll find the original pouch complete with manuals and the Protect-O-Plate documenting the car. Even the interior lights are fully operational, rounding out a cabin that is both authentic and exceptionally well preserved.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is highly correct, proper, and impressively original. It retains its born-with 327 V8 rated at 300 horsepower, with dates, codes, and the matching VIN all aligning as they should. It features the correct manifolds, valve covers, and even the proper air cleaner, along with the complete ignition shielding. The correct radiator and expansion tank are in place to keep it running cool. Overall, it presents as an unmolested, well-preserved engine bay that reflects careful ownership rather than abuse.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath, this '66 Corvette is so clean it looks like a frame-off restoration—yet it's an unmolested survivor that has been exceptionally maintained and detailed. It retains its factory four-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, all in excellent working order. The frame and chassis components are smooth, properly prepped, and painted, while the fiberglass floors are pristine with no damage. Even the spare tire carrier is remarkably clean. Looking up at the drivetrain, the engine is tidy and correct, including the proper starter and the rare, original three-speed manual transmission. Out back, it still carries its original coded and dated 3.36 rear end, completing a remarkably authentic and well-preserved undercarriage.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.
CONCLUSION: If you truly understand the difference—and appreciate the special appeal—of a low-mile, unmolested original car, you're going to love this one. This is exactly the kind of honest, well-preserved Corvette that serious collectors hope to find.
