Volo Museum Reopening May 14th
We know you've been waiting for our reopening plan and we are finally confident in rolling the plan out! As long as Illinois is in phase 4 or greater and any unforseen circumstances we plan to open our doors May 14th!
Volo Auto Museum is Temporarily Closed
We know many of you are wondering what is going on with the museum during this closure. You have questions, such as will we reopen? When? What restrictions will be in place? What about the status of memberships and online ticket purchases?
Public health rules brought about by the pandemic seem to change by the day, so we may not have all of the answers. But I am happy to address these questions the best that I can.
Is the Volo Auto Museum currently open?
Our collector car sales department is open by appointment, and for online purchases. The Volo Antique Malls are open. However, the museum is temporarily closed.
Will the museum reopen?
Yes! And it will be more amazing than ever. We have been taking great advantage of the closure to upgrade exhibits, build exciting new spaces to explore, improve our entry and exit system and much more. We’ve made rapid progress on dozens of improvements we simply would not have been able to complete without a diminished visitor experience if constructed while we were open. When will the museum reopen?
The State of Illinois has not yet set a date for businesses like ours to reopen. Once they do, we will evaluate the terms and conditions to put together a sound reopening strategy. We take pride in our museum and work hard to provide a quality guest experience. If we believe your experience will be compromised, we will remain closed until we’re confident that we can provide the exciting and fun atmosphere for which our museum is world-renowned. We will announce an opening date when we have one here and on our social media. *Update, as long as Illinois is in Phase 4 or greater we will be reopeing May 14th.
Will you be extending annual membership expiration dates?
Yes. All annual membership purchases will be extended to ensure everyone receives their full 12 months.
I purchased tickets online. Will their expiration dates be extended?
Tickets purchased from volocars.com through Etix do not expire. If you would like a refund for an Etix purchase, you can obtain one by contacting Etix customer support at 800-514-3849.
If you purchased tickets from any other third-party vendor such as Groupon, Tripadvisor, etc., you will need to contact that vendor directly. Each has its own policy and procedure. Our staff members are unable to assist with these purchase queries.
