During the fiberglass boom boat manufacturers were able to create wild designs, many of which were sampled from popular automobiles.
Fabulous Fifties
With the majority of these boats being produced from 1955 - 1959, their style is just what you'd expect from the era; big fins, bright colors, chrome trim, and other decorative ornamentation like fake jet intakes, taillights, and more.
Short-Lived
As people spent more time on the lake, the demand for bigger boats with more passenger space and cabins grew as well, putting these small stylish boats to the wayside.
