Christine
Hold onto your seats, folks, it's the infamous Christine from the classic horror movie by Stephen King! Christine is a Hollywood icon that starred in one of the most thrilling movies of all time, and it's sure to send shivers down your spine when you see it up close. You won't believe the amount of work that went into bringing the killer car to life on the big screen. For the movie, a whopping 14 cars were used to portray the self-restoring vehicle, and each one was specially designed with different special effects to create the most realistic and terrifying scenes possible.
Some of the cars even had rubber bumpers and trim applied to them so that they could easily bend back into shape after taking a beating from the film's intense action scenes. And how about that unforgettable moment when Christine's dents magically popped out and her smashed trunk restored itself? Well, believe it or not, that scene was created using hydraulic rigging that crushed the car from within, giving the illusion that the car was repairing itself.
This Christine was screen-used in Stephen King's hit TV movie "11/22/63", which was produced by none other than J.J. Abrams and starred the incredibly talented James Franco. And when Stephen King himself requested that this very car be used in the show, he autographed it. But get this - when King's signature began to bleed, he exclaimed "She remembers me!" - a chilling reminder of the true power of this iconic vehicle.
So if you want to experience the thrill of a lifetime, head on down to the Volo Museum and check out this incredible piece of Hollywood history. With contracts from the "11/22/63" production company and photos of King signing the car, you'll be able to see firsthand one of the most unforgettable cars in cinematic history.
