Genuine TV series General Lee, Documented, Only Existing 440 R/T Used

First time ever offered to the public! This car belongs to a good friend of mine who has owned it since 1991 when Warner Bros. sold it. It is his baby for 28 years and I am actually quite shocked he decided to list it for sale! It is one of the original 17 cars that were released by Warner Bros. in 1991. It is the only original 440 R/T used in the show that exists. It has been autographed by John Schneider and Tom Wopat and also includes a CNH 320 license plate signed by the duo. It has all the Warner Bros. documentation to prove its pedigree and is well known among the Dukes historians and fans. It also includes the log book from the last 3 seasons of the series showing the service that had been done to the car. Besides the TV series the car was also used in the recent Auto Trader commercial, the Showtime TV series Weeds and Hollywood Treasures explaining how a General Lee is "real" or not.. The car had a partial restoration preserving much of its originally but enabling it to be driven. Its about 60% original Warner Bros. paint, original push bar, wheels, etc.. The mechanics were completely rebuilt including the 440 engine which was rebuilt to produce about 500 H.P. The appearance under the hood was kept the same as how Warner Bros. built it with the factory copper color on the engine bay as well as in the jambs. The interior was also redone.

Don't compare this to the General Lees from the 2005 movie or to Lee 1 which had a restoration that included a re-body and has almost no original parts beyond its VIN plate with almost no pedigree left tied to the show. This is an all original General Lee as built by Warner Brothers with only minor restoration and touch ups. It is a TV series car with full history and documentation, not to mention the only 440 R/T in existence! Considered by many to be the Holy Grail of General Lees. Very rare opportunity and one you won't want to hesitate on, because who knows, he may get cold feet and keep it another 28 years!
