32,075 miles, 2 owners. 319 built total!

1 of 319 built, 2 owners and only 32,076 actual miles! We were lucky enough to find this gem right in our backyard, only 4 miles away. A man bought the car from the first owner in 1987. He passed away and his widow hung on to the car, leaving it parked in the garage. It is mostly untouched original. #s match throughout.

EXTERIOR: Mostly original paint from the factory, mostly original gold decals, even has it's original bird on the hood. Stand next to the car and the body is clean and straight. Paint is polished to a high gloss. Upon close inspection the paint shows some flaws due to age. There are stress cracks in the paint on the rear rubber bumper. Original honeycomb wheels still had 2 of it's original tires. We replaced all 4 with new BFGs. Glass is crystal clear, original weather strips are still nice and soft.

INTERIOR: Completely original in really nice condition. I would bet the original build sheet is still in the car, typically under a seat. We did replace the headliner due it it drooping down like they all did. The gold machine turned instrument bezel is in mint condition, also the gold spoked formula wheel is mint. Inside this car is a good 9 out of 10. Has the factory AM-FM stereo, ashtray looks like it's never been used, the lighter has been used maybe once. No cracks in the dash, door panels and the plastic trim are mint. The console is mint except for one tiny nick. Cushions are still firm, upholstery is very nice. Has owner's manuals in the glove box. The interior is nicest part of the car, near mint original condition.

UNDERSIDE: Very well preserved original. Kept solid with the help of Ziebart rust proofing.

MOTOR COMPARTMENT: #s match 455. Original components: no headers, Edelbrock etc. Has complete shaker hood assembly that has not been cut or drilled.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Original condition. Still has original jack mounted in correct location, spare has ink stamp on tread. Original spatter paint is mint, original mat has some stains.

HISTORY: Pontiac celebrated their 50th Anniversary with this very limited production Trans Am. The black with gold accents in and out were very outstanding. It was so popular they continued the color combination the following years as Special Editions, but in much higher production #s. The black and gold T/A would also go on to become one of the most popular cars in movie history, known as the bandit in Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds. In 1976 most of the very limited quality were equipped with 400 and automatics. This is one of only 319 made with a 455 and a 4-speed. 1976 was the last year of the 455 so that 319 production # will stand as a total for all years of production. This is a very desirable, highly collectable investment grade car.

Do your homework, this car is priced with a lot of profit potential still left. Similar condition cars sell in the 60-70 range at auction. Recently a restored one was advertised at $89,998.
