Standard Oil Wrecker
This little truck will be the star of the show.
Standard Oil WreckerIn the 1930's along a dark country road, if you found yourself in your little Ford, broke down, or in a ditch - this little tribute Wrecker would certainly be a welcome site. In those days the service station would purchase a stock model A Pickup and order a Weaver Auto crane and put the 2 together for a handy tow rig for model A's, T's and Chevy's. This original would pull up to the scene, turn on the large rear work lights, back out the hook and cable and affix it to your car. Of course for safety you would turn on your Emergency red light all part of the equipment on the wrecker. This compact little truck features a hand crank Weaver crane with adjustable boom and folding custom chrome light bar. The deluxe model might have had new Firestone whitewalls contrasted with the standard oil red/white/blue and all steel custom chrome side rails. This little truck will be the star of the show and will be a delight to spin all tails while in service. Youtube video available upon request.
