Rare #s match SS 396 with factory air conditioning!

It is not easy finding a 1970 Chevelle SS convertible that hasn't been customized. This one has #s match 396 motor, factory air conditioning and more. Very nicely restored too.

EXTERIOR: My first impression is a great one. The car looks practically new. First the body- its straight, fits nice, no rust. The silver metal flake laid out real nice and even. It has a glossy clear coat finish polished smooth. Even along the bottom reflects the ground like a mirror. is like a mirror. Up front the bumper has show quality chrome, lenses, bumper guards, grill, emblems, headlight bezels all look new. The hood fits nice and square. Looking down the sides I see the wheel well trim and emblems are replaced. The windshield and trim around it are replaced. In back there is show quality chrome on the bumper, has correct SS pad, cowbell exhaust tips and new lenses. The door jambs are detailed out has clear coat glossy paint, the right stickers, new weather strips, sill plates and window seals. Bottoms of the doors have a clean seam. We just put a brand new black convertible top and pads, has glass window. The SS wheels are restored very nicely, has new trim. New BFG tires.

INTERIOR: It has been restored- the upholstery, side panels, door panels, seat backs, armrests, carpets have been replaced. Very well optioned out inside- has power windows and locks, a tilt deluxe wheel, factiry gauge cluster and an Am-Fm 8-track. Has a mint console with horseshoe shifter between the bucket seats. I noticed the interior lights and the light in the glove box work. Has owner's manual.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is detailed out like factory condition. The numbers matching 396-350 hp motor hasr it's proper manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc. Even has correct GM hoses and clamps. Everything looks proper and tidy. Proper, smooth finishes on the components. Brake booster is cadium plated, bottom of hood is satin black and has insulation, core support is satin black, hood latch is argeant gray, jambs are glossy silver. Wiring is neatly ran. Even the washer bottle is hooked up to the squirters. There is one huge feature I didn't mention- it has factory air conditioning. Very desirable and rare on a big block convertible.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has nice clean metal with a nice spatter finish coating. The owner stepped up and bought a 5th SS wheel and new BFG tire for spare. Wheel and jack are restored. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is glossy paint, has correct stickers and new weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: Upfront the suspension and steering has recently been rebuilt, of course ut has disc brakes. Bottom of motor is clean, starter and fuel pump look new. Has turbo 400 trans. In back it has its original 12 bolt rear end. Has the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and boxed control arms. New shocks front and back.
