Mad Max Road Warrior
Hold on to your seats, folks, because we've got a thrilling story to share with you about the car on display at the Volo Museum! This isn't just any ordinary vehicle - it's the iconic "Mad Max" car from the post-apocalyptic world of the Australian outback. This car has been through it all, having survived the ruthless attacks of nomadic tribes and the ferocious Humungus and his marauders. But the story of this car doesn't end there. Did you know that only two cars were ever used for filming in the original Mad Max movie trilogy, and only one of them survived? And that's not all - this car has undergone some serious modifications since its first appearance in the movies. What started as a supped-up Police Interceptor in the original Mad Max became even more post-apocalyptic in Road Warrior, with large fuel tanks replacing the truck and rear window, a gutted interior with an added roll cage, and filled with survival items from weapons to a cooking pot.
And that's not even the most exciting part. The car on display at the Volo Museum is a replicated version of the original screen-used car, painstakingly restored by an expert who wanted to replicate the vehicle as accurately as possible, right down to the properly placed props like the Dinki-di dog food cans and survival equipment. The only difference is that this version is a polished, shiny version without the apocalyptic dust!
So come on down to the Volo Museum and see this incredible piece of movie history for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
