High end build. Independent suspension front & rear!

High end, no expense spared custom build by Bulldog Rod & Custom. Only 650 miles since finished. The idea behind the build was to create a turnkey Trans Am car that would be right at home on a road course. Make no mistake, it's also a killer show car that will take anywhere you want to go. 2 binders of specs and documentation is included from radio instructions to the paint formulas.

EXTERIOR: Extensively reworked body. Some subtle, some not so subtle custom fabrications. starting up front it is bumperless with a reconstructed valance that has 1969 running lights and integrated petite spoiler. All emblems, trim and handles were removed and filled. It has sport mirrors from a modern Camaro. It has a cowl hood and mesh grills were fitted under the cowl vents. The car was made to look lower by extending the bottom of the fenders, quarters and the rockers were extended and boxed. The trunk and rear quarters have a fabricated dove tail. A pop up fuel filler is relocated to the trunk lid. Painted in a gorgeous BMW Lemans blue 2 stage paint. It is polished to a smooth glossy finish. Corvette bumperettes were retrofitted in back. Any chrome or trim was done in a charcoal gray gloss paint. All new glass has a dark tint. New Forgiato wheels ($1,200 each) on Pirelli P Zero tires. 20 inches round and extra wide in back. It has a Rain Gear wiper system hidden in the cowl.

INTERIOR: Leather and suede! These sport seats will firmly hold you in place as you're tear up the corners on your favorite winding road. They recline and are upholstered in leather. The rear seat is all custom made and upholstered to match the front. Custom sculpted and upholstered door panels with relocated custom door handles. Those window cranks are actually power window controls with micro switches. The dash pad is wrapped in leather. It has real nice looking custom gauges that all light up blue, there's a blue push button starter. The climate controls are Vintage Air with electric slides instead of cables. A custom made center console has a power mirror switch and a 5-speed shifter sticking out of it. The tilt column has a cool Billet Specialties wheel. Overhead is suede visors and headliner. The stereo system has a retro stereo, amp, aux plugs in the ashtray, 6x9s in back, kick panel speakers and tweeters. Premium wool carpet with bound edges and matching mats.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: $8,438 crate LS-3 6.2 liter 376-495 hp and 473 lbs of torque. Air is fed through a Spectre filter and polished tube. The intake and valve covers are color matched to the car. Internally it has a nodular crank, powdered rods, hypereutectic pistons, race cam, 10.7:1 compression. The burnt fuel is expelled through a set of Hedmann stainless shorty headers. March Pro Track brackets and pulleys spin a serpentine belt and attach a polished alternator and a/c compressor. An Auto Rad aluminum radiator and dual electric fans keeps it running cool. It uses premium hoses and fittings. A hydro boost system operates the power steering and power brakes. The engine bay is as smooth and glossy as the exterior. The firewall was made smooth, has aluminum core support.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been completely boxed and carpeted. The bottom of the trunk lid is done in suede. Behind the rear panel is an Optima battery with billet hold down bracket. There's also an amplifier for the stereo and the windshield washer bottle was relocated to the trunk. The jamb is painted, weather strip is new. It opens with a remote cable behind the license plate.

UNDERSIDE: This is where it gets really good. Independent suspension front and back. In front it has a Chris Alston Chassisworks subframe with tubular control arms, adjustable coil over gas shocks and rack & pinion steering. The front is tied to the back with frame connectors. In back it has Heidts Pro G independent suspension ($10,000). It is built to handle high hp and is the ultimate set up for autocross type handling. It has tubular control arms, traction bars, adjustable coil over gas shocks and unique inboard disc brakes. The brake system is all Wilwood with 6 piston calipers in front, braided hoses, stainless lines and a new e-brake system. It has a very neatly bent, stainless 2.5 inch exhaust with welded joints, crossover pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers. Looking up you can see the all aluminum motor. A Quick Time bell housing connects to a Tremec 5-speed. It has a billet flywheel. A blue painted driveshaft leads back to the 9 inch rear with 3.70 posi gears. Alston mini tubs were installed to accommodate the wide tires. The bottom of the car is meticulously detailed. The floors are body color, it's new down to the last nut bolt.

This is gorgeous to look at but it's begging to be driven. This car is a blast with exceptional handling and performance!
