Body off restored. Complete L-76 Vette motor & a posi.

327-365 hp Corvette motor. Body off frame restored. From a very fussy customer. This beautiful Elcamino is dialed in. It's the Elcamino that GM almost built. There was an article that talked about a 365 hp motor but it was decided 300 hp was the most hp that would be available.

EXTERIOR: California built. Excellent fit and finishes. The body is straight and smooth from the rockers to the roof. Repainted it's original Azure Aqua color, it's beautiful. It has a very glossy clearcoat finish polished like glass. The chrome and trim is outstanding. The grill,, bumper, emblems, hood spear are straight and shiny. All the stainless trim is like chrome. The emblems, handles, mirror look new. The chrome around the bed opening is gleaming. In back the tail lights, bumper, emblems look new. Glass is all very clear. Jambs are just as glossy as the body. New weatherstrips, sill plates and window seals. It has a special set of Cragar wheels with gray spokes that are pristine. It rides on a set of radial redline BF Goodrich tires.

INTERIOR: It is very meticulous from floor to ceiling. I'm sitting in the car looking at a sparkling chrome instrument panel. The knobs, gauges, steering wheel are excellent. The metal is repainted smooth and glossy. It has a new optional dash pad. Down on the floor is bright turquoise carpet and a 4-speed. The seat has been recushioned and reupholstered. New door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles. Overhead the visors and headliner look new, original mirror. The glove box liner is new and has an owner's manual. There's an aftermarket tachometer on the column and a gauge cluster below the dash. It also has a new set of turquoise seat belts.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Is has an actual L-76 327-365 horsepower motor out of a 1965 Corvette. It is authentic from pan to air cleaner. It has the double hump heads, factory aluminium intake, a restored Holley carb with correct #s, a solid lifter cam, restored alternator with correct #s. It even has the deep groove pulleys and thick pully on the alternator. It was upgraded with ceramic coated headers. Dressed up with correct finned aluminium valve covers and rechromed air cleaner. It even has correct big pully on the alternator, reproduction hoses and clamps and the correct fuel filter. The power brake booster is cadmium plated, new master cylinder. The firewall, inner fenders and core support have a smooth satin black finish. Under the hood is painted, has insulation and restored hinges. The wiring is new, radiator and shroud look proper, the battery is bolted down and has reproduction spring clamp cables. This motor runs strong, the idle sounds sweet.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is gorgeous. I really don't see a dent or a pit. The metal is so clean and has a high gloss finish to match the exterior. The screws even look like they're all new. The tailgate opens properly. The bottom has no rust, the jamb is glossy. Hinges are chrome.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame. The metal under this car appears to be rock solid original. The lower quarters and inner rockers are clean too. The chassis is completely smooth metal, not even pitted, painted semi-gloss black. The front end was rebuilt. The suspension front and back was rebuilt, has air shocks and swaybars. The brakes were completely rebuilt, e-brake assembly is hooked up. The exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel system is new including the tank, sending unit, straps and lines. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, starter looks new. The 4-speed trans was recentlyserviced. New throw out bearing and Competition Plus linkage. The original 10 bolt rear has new 3.36 posi gears.

This is an exceptionally nice vehicle. Stunning good looks. What I love most is the Vette motor, 4-speed and a posi. It will a real blast driving this one!
