250 miles on frame off restoration! P 4 wheel disc, ps.

This one is exceptional! Really, the fit, finish and function impressed me. Only 250 miles since body off frame restored. Gorgeous and rare factory colors in and out. It has the big hp 409 with a 4-speed, power steering and power 4 wheel disc. It's going to be awesome to drive. Built in California and it lived there until 2018.

EXTERIOR: It presents itself like a new car or better. The body is clean and straight, no damage or rust showing. Painted the factory colors- Sateen Silver and Ermine white. The silver metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat looks like it's a mile deep. Very smooth and glossy. The white painted roof is just as skick. All of the chrome and trim has been replaced or restored. Up front the entire grill, headlight bezels, bumper and emblems are excellent. The stainless trim all around the windows and down the sides are straight and polished. It has bowtie mirrors on each side and a rear mount antenna. Door handles were replaced. In back the tail lights, bumper and cross flag emblem all look new. It has all new glass and chrome window frames. The jambs are painted glossy, weather strips and sill plates have been replaced. It rolls on 17 inch chrome Cragar wheels with radial tires.

INTERIOR: It is restored like it's a new 1961 Bel Air. Down on the floor it has red and black speckled carpet and matching mats, correct style 4-speed sticking out of the hump. The seats have been recushioned and are nice and firm. All new correct reproduction upholstery on the seats and door panels. New armrests, window cranks and handles. In front of me is repainted metal with optional dash pad. Everything looks like new- bezels, lenses, knobs, original radio, steering wheel, glovebox liner etc. I even looked under the dash and everything looks restored. Overhead is a new white headliner and visors, working dome light. It has a vintage Sun tachometer mounted to the column.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow! I opened the hood and said "wow" out loud. It's beautifully detailed. She's real fine, this 409! It has a 1963 QB code 409-425 hp motor with Edelbrock intake, dual Edelbrock 4 barrel carbs and correct glass bowl filter. It has correct valve covers and big chromed dual snorkel air cleaner. Upgraded MSD 6A ignition system. It runs cool with an aluminium radiator, overflow bottle, new clutch fan and correct shroud. Upgraded power brakes with dual reservoir master cylinder. Upgraded power steering with remote reservoir and CPP steering box. New battery properly bolted down, reproduction cables. Rare vintage Sun tachometer unit is on the inner fender. Everything looks new or restored down to the last nut, bolt, clamp and wire.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid clean metal neatly spatter painted. It has reproduction 3 piece mat. The jamb and under the trunk lid were painted silver, weatherstrip was replaced. Wiring harness is new.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a detailed restoration underneath. The frame was powder coated black. Front end was completely rebuilt: bushings, shocks, steering components were replaced and now has a new sway bar and 2 inch drop spindles. The rear suspension has also been rebuilt, there's new control arm bushings, springs and shocks. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank straps, sending unit and lines. The brake system has completely replaced and upgraded with disc at all four wheels. It has stainless steel braided hoses and new e-brake assembly. The exhaust is very neatly bent along the X frame, has factory style mufflers and exits behind each rear tire. Looking up at the motor the Chevy orange is still spotless, the starter looks new. The 4-speed looks fresh. U-joints have been replaced, it has a 12-bolt rear end in the back. The floors are real clean metal and have been prepped and sprayed with a real light undercoat. It's like a new car underneath.

This is one of my favorite cars we have. I love the colors and the quality of the restoration. It looks and performs exceptionally well Someone will be very pleased with this one.
