Frame off restored to factory specs. It's a factory hot rod!

This is what a muscle car in 1956 looked like. It has the performance dual quad engine, a manual shift with overdrive in a no frills 210 trim level. Not many were set up like this, the dual quads were typically found in the Corvettes. This car was body off frame restored using many NOS parts. It scored 982 points for a Platinum Certificate at Classic Chevy International show in 2012. We have pictures and receipts documenting the restoration.

EXTERIOR: We have photos of the bare body shell stripped to bare metal. It is an original metal rust free car! The body was restored 20 years ago and it still shows really well. That says a lot about it's quality. It's straight, there's no signs of body damage or rust. I didn't see any blisters. Everything fits really well, doors shut like a new car. Overall the paint is very smooth and glossy. Repainted original colors, code 710: India Ivory and Twilight Turquoise. We have the paint formula for future touch ups. It looks like all the glass has been replaced, it has a real light tint. All the gaskets, weather strips and window seals have been replaced. It has new date coded side glass. The chrome trim is beautiful up front, it all looks like new from the bumper to the headlight bezels and the bird on the hood. I also noticed T-3 reproduction headlamps. The moldings down the sides and around the windows are polished like chrome. It has the correct antenna and optional door handle guards. In back the bumper, tail lights, everything was replaced. The rims are painted and have reproduction poverty hubcaps. It now has BFGoodrich radial white wall tires.

INTERIOR: This interior has been restored back to factory new from top to bottom. Down on the floor it has the correct tight loop carpet and reproduction turquoise floor mats. New cushion and reproduction upholstery. Reproduction matching door panels, even the armrests, window cranks and handles were replaced. It has a white perforated headliner and visors. The pull straps and around the welting around the door opening is replaced. All the metal trim inside the car is painted as nice as the outside. The dash is all restored- new speedometer, lense, knobs, heater control, steering wheel etc. I even looked up under the dash and it all looks like brand new. New wiring harness, the heater box is restored, new firewall insulation. Dimmer switch is new, dome light works, glove box light works. It has a new glove box liner.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The original engine block was not rebuildable and was replaced with an NOS 283 block. We have the invoice for professional rebuild. It was balanced It has power pack heads and a factory dual quad set up. It has a GM aluminum intake, 2 correct 4 barrel carbs and the "bat wing" air cleaner. Correct Chevrolet script valve covers. All the components look factory and were restored. The generator looks new. It has optional electric wipers. Correct radiator, reproduction cap, hoses and clamps. The steering linkage looks like new. All the painted finishes are smooth.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal trunk compartment is painted white. Has reproduction rubber mat, rear seat divider, weatherstrip and stickers. It also has a reproduction whitewall tire on a turquoise painted rim. The jack assembly and lug wrench is included.

UNDERSIDE: It has been body off the frame restored. Rebuilt and detailed front end. Steering and suspension was completely redone. It has all new bushings, shocks, hardware etc. It's all painted and detailed. The rear suspension is replaced- bushings, correct spiral shocks, new hardware. Fuel system was replaced including the tank, straps, sending unit and fuel lines. The dual exhaust system was replaced, it has correct type mufflers and stainless tips. The brake system was restored- the brake hoses and lines were replaced. The e-brake assembly is all hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is still very clean, has a correct canister type oil filter, starter looks fresh. It has 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The drive shaft is restored and detailed with assembly line markings. The original rear end with 3.31 gears has been restored. The floors appear to be immaculate metal. The braces and rockers are clean. They were repainted in the correct primer finish. The body was reunited with the restored chassis using new bushings.

This car has character. Everything about it makes it cool- the colors, 210 trim in a sedan with hot rod motor and trans. It's an older restoration that has held up really well which tells me it's a quality car.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
