Rust free, low mile Bel Air. Dual quads, ps, padded dash.

Introduction: Genuine V8 Bel Air Sports Coupe. I sold this car many years ago. It is a very clean, honest car. It went to a fussy owner, he passed along 3 pages of hand written notes from the type of oil to the proper pressure in the air shocks. 71,935 actual miles, it's marked actual on the title.

EXTERIOR: Very impressive body. Painted over 15 years ago and there is no rust, bubbles, damage or body work showing. Body gaps are right on. Repainted it's original combination of Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige. It's a beautiful and unique color. The metal flake is laid out evenly. Jambs are clean metal and painted neatly. It has all been polished smooth and glossy. All the stainless trim is straight and polished. The flippers over the doors both work. All the chrome shines brightly. Original glass, rear window is crystal clear. Original T-3 headlights. Dressed up with some Torque Thrust wheels.

INTERIOR: Rare padded dash the fits real nice. It has a traffic light view finder that everyone will ask what it is. All the trim, knobs, heater controls etc are mint. It has it's original radio but there's a modern stereo in the glovebox. Correct tight loop carpet on the floor and reproduction mats. Very cool original interior with chrome piping. Original door panels. White perforated headliner, dome light works. Overall very nice, just showing some gentle age.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 265 V-8 with dual quads. It has factory aluminum intake with carter carbs. Finned aluminum valve covers. Features include power steering and electric wipers. Reproduction hoses and clamps. Recent high efficiency radiator, it always runs cool. Every component looks clean and proper. It has correct choke tube, battery is properly secured, has original horns etc. The engine bay is neatly painted smooth metal. Detailed with several new bolts.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's been entirely repainted a smooth gloss white. Solid clean metal. It has a painted rim and whitewall tire for a spare. The jack assembly has been detailed. The original rubber mat has some cracks.

UNDERSIDE: It appears to be rock solid, dry clean original metal. The floors, braces and rockers all look good. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank and sending unit. It has a nice dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers. The front end does look like it's been gone through- the ball joints, bushings, shocks etc. It has air shocks in back. The drum brakes and wheel bearings were rebuilt about 6000 miles ago. E-brake is hooked up, hoses were replaced. Looking up at the motor it's spotless. The starter is rebuilt, the canister type oil filter has been upgraded with the screw on type. It has correct dated 1956 Powerglide automatic transmission. Rebuilt drive shaft. Original dated 1956 rear end with 3.55 gears.

Conclusion: This is a really well sorted honest car. The more I looked, the more I liked! Colors are unique and the dual quads make it extra special!
