Genuine Classic. Artwork you can use!

Older body off frame restoration still shows beautifully. Same owner from new until 1988. We just acquired it from the Claud O. Estate collection. We sold him the car in 2014. He had a full time mechanic maintaining his cars because he wanted to be able to drive any car at any time. Only 15 known to exist. This is a genuine classic, recognized by the Classic Car Club of America.

EXTERIOR: What an impressive automobile, it's no surprise that it's considered a classic. Right up front is the tall slanted grill adorned with the cormorant ornament. The massive front fenders each have optional side mount spares with optional metal covers. Big suicide doors are supported by substantial chrome hinges. Unique dual golf bag doors make it easy to stow your golf clubs. The back half is certainly not stubby, it features a very desirable (and fun) rumble seat. It is dressed up with optional Trippe lights, a Lorraine spotlight and a trunk rack in back. All 6 wire wheels are restored in the same color as the car and are wrapped in big white wall tires. The tan Haartz cloth top is in excellent condition. The lack of rear quarter windows is what qualifies it as a Victoria. Once folded down a matching boot handsomely covers the top.

INTERIOR: Very rich finishes- genuine leather throughout, faux wood grained trim and chrome accents. Right in the center of the beautiful dash is the original radio (a unique feature in 1936). The gauges and knobs all show very well. The unrestored steering wheel has some wear that gives you a connection to the history of people that have driven this car in past eras. The leather upholstery is soft and looks great. This was the first year for an adjustable seat. Leather bound carpet on the floor.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original motor, #391596. It runs as smooth as silk. Big straight 8 is 320 cubic inches and makes 130 hp. The motor compartment has been completely disassembled and restored. Every component looks clean and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The rumble seat has no exposed handles; it opens from inside the car. Once it is opened you are treated to genuine leather upholstery. It even has leather flaps to rest your arms on. The floor is carpeted with leather bound edges. It even has a chrome folding footrest.

UNDERSIDE: It is exceptionally clean. The chassis is all smooth metal painted satin black. Bottom of the motor is clean. The original 3-speed is dated late 1935 also looks clean. 3 position ride control is operated from a knob inside the car. It has leaf spring suspension. The brakes are vacuum assisted. Correct exhaust system. Under the fenders are painted body color. The floors are solid wood painted black. It is clean and proper under this car.

Owning a prewar Packard was and is prestigious. Not all were considered classics, only the upper end of the line up like this one here. This is artwork you can use!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
