Real SS, has build sheet! A/C, gauges, cowl induction.

This is the real deal documented with original build sheet. It was born a true SS396 with cowl induction, air conditioning, factory gauges and more.

EXTERIOR: It has lived down south it's entire life. Straight, solid body. It fits nice, no rust or damage. This is an original cowl induction hood with the flapper and hood pins. The paint is smooth and glossy. Painted on SS stripes. Stainless is very nice. Emblems, mirror, bumpers and door handles were replaced. Windshield was replaced. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. 15 inch SS wheels have some beefy tires.

INTERIOR: Factory born with the gauge/tachometer package, bucket seats and console. Door panels and armrests were replaced. It also has a deluxe wheel on a tilt column. The factory Am-Fm radio works. Clean dash area. Owner's manual is in the glovebox. Carpet and upholstery were replaced. Headliner is excellent, dome light works. Overall, very good.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: There is a bunch of good stuff under the hood of this one! A big block, cowl induction system, factory air conditioning, power steering and brakes. Correct 396 big block motor. Upgraded with an aluminum intake, dual feed Holley carb, HEI ignition and headers. It also has a hotter cam and a vacuum reservoir. All the components look clean and properly installed.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted nicely. I did not find any splices in the quarters or floor; it's neatly spatter painted. The stickers, weatherstrip and mat were replaced. It has a rally wheel spare and jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: It has the F41 suspension which includes boxed rear control arms, front and rear swaybars. The shocks were replaced, it has air shocks in back. Dual exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers and resonators in the tailpipes. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. Bottom of the motor is fresh Chevy Orange, new starter. Original vin # matching Turbo 400 automatic trans. Original 12 bolt rear with 3.31 gears. The floors and rockers are clean, dry metal.

Documentation is the only way to verify a true SS. The build sheet is very important to collectors and certainly adds to its value. Oops, I think I forgot to add it to the price of this one!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom.
